It appears Pollards surgery will have him out for the season. Thank you honestly Scott for coming in and giving it your best to be a piece of the puzzle. It didn’t turn out the way you or the rest of us would have liked, but you gave it your best shot. Hopefully the surgery goes well and you make a full recovery. Even though it didn’t result in a lot of production at game time, your enthusiasm on the bench and hard work were seen. Good luck!
Mike Gorman is probably right in saying we shouldn’t get carried away after the Detroit game. But, I think we found some flaws in that team, we found some good matchup advantages, and we showed that we could finish against them. If we do come up against them in the playoffs I think intensity will be the difference. We discovered they have no low post offensive or defensive game. We discovered (before this game) that PP can take Prince out of the game with his defense and that Prince’s defense on PP is not really that good without Ben Wallace backing him up. We also saw that we could match tactics. When they put Hamilton on Rondo Tommy said Rajon could take it to the basket against Hamilton and right on cue Rondo exploded like being shot out of a canon in that great highlight moment. Rondo also used some of Billup’s tricks against Billups. Detroit has been the same team all year. We’ve been getting better and there is still room for growth.
