Danny's Nephew Headed To Jets

This is completely off topic but there's a tie-in here.

For those who don't know, Danny Ainge has a nephew that played Quarterback for the Tennesee Vols.  He just got drafted yesterday by the New York Jets.  The connection has an extra layer of irony for me because one of my best friends and favorite people in the world happens to be a Jets blogger.  I went to college with Brian Bassett and had him in my wedding and I have really enjoyed watching his blog grow to the point where he's now affiliated with the SNY network (a NY cable network) and was able to cover the draft live (yup, that's him interviewing Vernon Gholston).  Oh yeah, and Brian lives just outside of Boston.  As an added bonus to this little story, one of the writers on that site is a fellow that goes by the username of Bent, who has been a CelticsBlog contributor and supporter from the very beginning.  Just thought I'd share about how funny these things play out sometimes.

By the way, congrats to the Ainge family, who incidently had great things to say about Erik Ainge's former teammate and Patriots first round selection Jerod Mayo.
