Leon Powe Draws Charges

Recently reader RealTangiblesGuy reminded me of 82games.com. I’ve been before and it’s an excellent website. Well sometime around 3:30 I stumbled across the “Foul Drawing/Fouls Committed” stats for the 2008 season. Leon Powe's 30 charges drawn jumped right out at me. Keep in mind that’s in 56 games at 14.1 mpg. Now this would be a million times cooler if I had posted "my findings" around 3:30. That's because roughly five and a half hours later Powe was drawing charges, frustrating the Hawks and pumping life into the C’s and the TD Banknorth Garden. In addition to that he had 10 points and 7 rebounds. Overall Powe’s performance in the first half was incredibly important. I can’t stress that enough.
