Magic Number = 0

Below is our magic number....

ZERO

By defeating the Bobcats tonight the Celts:

  • Are the #1 seed in the East
  • Have homecourt advantage through the rest of the playoffs
  • Are most definitely on an extended rest cycle for GAP

Even without the Defensive Player of the Year (Garnett, if he's not that award is a joke), the Celtics brought out their Crushing defense and took down the 'Cats 101 to 78.

Leon Powe has become a force.  Our boy Powe rammed it low for 22 and 9, including a Jesus like 12 of 13 from the line.   Way to go Leon.

Bring on the 8th seed.

I don’t know how many of you guys play Cyberdunk, but I thought it would be cool if some of us Celtics fans could get a team together over there. If you’ve never heard of it, its a MMORPG basketball sim. My player is Rajon Rando, and I’m trying to build him like the real Rajon. Here’s the link:

Leon is absolutely playing out of his head right now and we should really be talking about extending the guy if we aren’t already.

Another horrible outing for Sam. We don’t need a whole thread about it, but he was terrible. His first 2 shots he took were with 3 and 5 seconds gone in the shot clock and none of them buzzer beaters. His next shot he pounded the ball down and took a fadeaway that wasn’t even close. He got lucky getting bailed out a couple times with fouls to hit those 4 free throws, but really played like the Sam we know now vs the Sam we wish he’d be. He better be careful or he is going to end up riding the pine for most of this run. He can’t just come in and force shots and turn the ball over…
