tunrovers killed us tonight. we were sloppy and outside of pierce and garnett no one brought it for us tonight, including Doc. I know this game means nothing but it mattered to the wizards and doc should have been more prepared.by the time he decided we should try and win this game it was too late, How does he not play leon in this game. eddie house on arenas? what was he thinking? yeah there were some bad calls against us like the interference by haywood and the call on posey but the refs didn’t cost us this game. I’m sure tomnmy had a lot tosay about benny. I don’t like our focus the last 2 games

the wiz knows how to beat us. not a big thing to lose, but i am still worried about the play of tony-just not consistent.eddie has been so so too. the ball just doesn’t move as much with him, but he puts in the effort.bj looked old and slow.

I’d love to see Rondo play a full game against the Wizards.

why is Rondo only getting 25 when Sam isn’t ever getting minutes.

C’s played this game only kinda hard. They wanted to beat the Wiz but didn’t want to kill themselves doing it (see 30 3ptA vs. 21 FTA). Perk annoyed me tonite, he’s got to finish the bunnies around the basket and play with a lot more energy. I hope he steps it up for the playoffs or we’ll be relying a lot on Powe or even (gulp) PJ Brown.

we better not get them in the playoffs. for those of you old enough to remember the mid 70;s the same bulletts owned us.TOTALLY owned us. we were better than every team in the league for 5 years, and injuries cost us once and the bulletts got us twice. We got two titles. A terrible game considering. Anyone watching the game for 50 years cannot feel like we seem to know how to get the upper hand psychologically. We really seem to not get it. Bill and Bird and Cowens, I saw them and know they would have torn up Wa today just to make the point. Garnett or Doc just don’t get it. And why should they really since they have zero experience with showing the opponent that we are the champs and we will control you.

I love KG and my hope is that at this late stage of his career he will define a slightly knew way of intimidating and dominating.

I think they get it. Not sure what more they need to do to show it. C’s have already clinched everything. They have nothing left to prove until the playoffs. They have dominated all year!

I agree with Flexi. They are not going to try to kill themselves at this point in the season when everything is clinched.

Leon, Baby, TAllen, Perk, were ineffective last night. That is what we learned. The wake up call probably occurred right after the game ended. The previous wins have been too easy, and these guys were not playing as hard as usual against a team that can play.

Doc played his bench huge minutes against the Bucks so no wonder they had nothing last night. He would have been smarter to play the starters more minutes against the Bucks ans secure an easy win so that his bench could have gotten more minutes against the wizards. Going into the offseason our number one priority should be to find a scorer off the bench- preferably a shooting guard who can defend. tony allen just doesn’t cut it. On the positive side I thought PB Brown looked good although I still would have liked to see leon in the game for scoring purposes

Line ups in the game were terrible. Defensive intensity was lacking for much of the game. None of the role players stepped up at all. The wizards are a good enough team that you can’t mess around with them and expect to win.

BTW – I was at the game and rondo was not on the bench at all in the 4th quarter. Did he get hurt?

Rondo was sick before the game and Doc said he should have probably just given him the whole night off. I think we should have played at full speed to really show this wizards team who is boss. The Refs did us no favors last night, the wiz were getting all the ticky tack fouls while PP couldnt even buy a free throw. did he even shoot one? I don’t remember him going to the line once. besides that our defensive focus seemed to come and go and they seemed a step slow on the rotations (especially Rondo in the first half, but he was sick). And when did the wizards become the best defensive team in the league? They were swinging their arms at everything and the refs just let them go at it, not so on the other end of the court. I think we’d beat them in 5 in the playoff’s though.

The Wizards have our number. They played well and the Cs just couldn’t lock it down on defense. They turned the ball over too much. They got beat out on the boards. The Wizards are one of those teams that can be really good but they haven’t gotten to where they can do it night in and night out. We must match up badly against them. I wonder if this win gives them the confidence they need to get some momentum going into the playoffs.
