Officiating

I've never seen games so badly officiated then this years playoff games. Lebron, who is the king of getting fouled without anybody touching him is just pathetic. Yes, team stars always gets less fouls against them an draw more fouls but this is getting out of control. Of coarse he's going to score 30 points a night, when the opposing team can't play tight defense or you'll get called for the foul.

Also, the Jazz Vs. Lakers games have been poorly officiated. The Lakers are like a bunch of Lebrons with the calls they get. The Jazz in game 5 were close with about 6 minutes left in the 4th and the officials took over. They called like 4 strait fouls on the Jazz "phantom calls" and then called them for traveling on the offensive end. The Lakers had around 45 free throw attempts, while the Jazz had half that. It's not 5 against 5 anymore, its 5 against 8.

It's hard to watch the NBA now, its just getting worse. With the phantom calls and the flopping, its just not real basketball anymore. I bet Stern is loving this though, his star players are getting more notoriety, and the serious are dragging on so the league is making more advertising money. It's getting harder and harder to be NBA fan, may have to start watching the WNBA to watch pure basketball without the refs deciding the game. I think we should start something to get the league to bring back  how real basketball should be played.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Interesting

I can’t vouch for Lakers/Jazz. But I don’t think it’s been too bad either way against Cleveland. There are always bad calls but they seem to even out. And LeBron does get hit a lot. There is no other way to stop him.

Green Bandwagon: Celtics '08 or bust. Are you on the bandwagon?

Yes, the officiating has been terrible

But at least in the Celtics’ series, the coaching has been terrible too. I still say Doc should have been fired last season. With a halfway decent coach, Atlanta would have been a cakewalk and this series would be over by now.

Now we’re stuck with him for the foreseeable future.
