Hey, congrats Boston. Although I’m disappointed I just wanted to congratulate you guys. You have a great team. In fact, this is the first time since 04 that I feel that the better team won even though the Piston’s lost. We didn’t choke it away, you guys just flat out beat us. I’ll be rooting for you against the Lakers.
PS: I gotta love Paul Pierce, the guy is such a competitor and you can tell he just loves the game.
Congrats again.

Frankly I’m shocked that the Celtics won this game. For once, Rivers’ rotations were ok, except I would have gone with House instead of Cassell and would have given Powe (or BBD) minutes in the second half.
If Rivers is the one who decided to put Posey on Billups in the 4th quarter it was the best coaching decision of his life. Posey was absolutely outstanding defensively and Pierce played a great 4th quarter as well.
all i can say is this…..in the islands its good but right now its better to be a fan of the c’s. congrats to the boys on proving all the nay sayers wrong. Peoplez lets prepare for BANNER 17!!!!!!!!CELTICS TO THE END…the Lakers are in for a beatdown in Beantown and they know it!

It’s been such a long time,
I think I should be going,
And time doesn’t wait for me,
It keeps on rolling.
Sail on,
On a distant highway.
I’ve got to keep on chasing a dream.
I’ve gotta be on my way;
Wish there was something I could say.
Well, I’m taking my time,
I’m just moving on.
You’ll forget about me after I’ve been gone,
And I take what I find,
I don’t want no more,
It’s just outside of your front door.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It’s been such a long time.
It’s been such a long time.
Well I get so lonely
When I am without you,
But in my mind, deep in my mind,
I can’t forget about you.
Good times
And faces that remind me;
I’m trying to forget your name
And leave it all behind me.
You’re coming back to find me.
It’s been such a long time,
I think I should be going,
And time doesn’t wait for me,
It keeps on rolling.
There’s a long road
I’ve gotta stay in time with.
I’ve got to keep on chasing that dream,
Though I may never find it,
I’m always just behind it.
Well, I’m taking my time,
I’m just moving on.
BEAT LA BEAT LA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey stonesfan, thanks. classy remark (surprising your other fellow pistons supporters left even before the last 2min mark, would have been classy for them to atleast finish the game and appreciate what your team did for the year, oh well). great series with your team.

So happy for the team right now. What a gutsy win, it’s been fun watching them become more poised through the last month and a half.

so sweet. at sonny mccleans in santa monica and we had a beat la chant going in los angeles. I will be wearing my old school Beat LA t shirt proud all week etc and hope not to get shot. I am so happy right now, memories of old school C’s Lakers are just running through my mind. Glad Rambis is still on the bench and hope we have all the legends out to represent. Spending my paycheck on a seat to game 3 as well. woooo hooo. Celtic Pride, buring the heat down deep inside, cuz it’s celtic pride.

Ubuntu! © Boston Celtics
First game in The Jungle is June 5th. I can’t wait! My Celtics post tomorrow is going to be on beast mode (no Kendrick “The Hulk” Perkins).
Throws threes menacingly at the Laker bench and Spike Lee
Boston Stand Up!
One.

For a moment I felt soo bad for the Pistons. I just can’t understand how everyone left even though the game wasn’t even over. Give your team some credit for making it this far.
That’s why Celtics fans are just the best. We patiently waited and stood by our team AND NOW WE ARE GOING TO THE FINALS!!! sooo happy

I’ve never seen Pierce so calm, collected, calculated, and controlled. Wow. Even when Salvatore called him for the foul when he was shooting that three-pointer, we didn’t see the Paul Pierce Poutty Face. He smiled and went on. What a difference.

Those fans that left already saw the end of that game, they saw it last season in Cleveland, the year before with Miami, the year before with San Antonio….
I’m proud of my Pistons team for this run they’ve been on, and hope to see more in the future. The part that hurts is knowing your team should be doing better, but for some unseen reason, they can’t get over the hump.
Best of luck Boston in the finals. You’ve been very lucky sports fans this past year.

1. I’m glad is was Doc who was putting in players and not you.
2. Who other than Doc made the decision to put Posey on Billups and have the guts to keep Ray on the bench. Not very creative on Doc’s part (Righttt!!).
3. We really haven’t done anything yet, but can’t you just for a brief moment give these guys some credit?
if we play Powe over PJ we might have a shot at this. PJ was averaging very close to 1 point per minute on the floor in /. He’ll be even more outmatched facing the triangle with an even more athletic front line. And he offers NOTHING on offense. Anyone notice how Powe is the only guy who doesn’t take UBUNTU to the extreme and absolutely attacks the rack anytime he’s got the ball inside of 3 feet? None of these stupid “oh I have a layup better pass”.. just “I’m dunking this sh*t”.

I give him credit. This was one of Doc’s better games. But then why’d he make the insane decision to sub Ray Allen back in while we were at the free throw line and Detroit would definitely need 3s. Why take out our best wing defender for our worst? Just so Ray can be on the court? F that noise.

1. Posey was worn out. 2. Ray is not an awful defender. 3. Ray is a better ball handler. 4. Ray is a better free throw shooter (which was required at that point).
yeah. I figured that’s it. But why not keep Posey for the defensive set (not worn out.. he was visibly upset (though with a smile on his face cuz he rules) that he came out of the game), then if you have to call a T.O. to get Ray in for FTs? Stopping the 3 is more important than getting the FTs at that point.
