Kobe the Dragonslayer!

While many sports writers try to come up with stories like Big Threes of one team versus the other's, it's hard to really apply this formula to the match up between the Lakers and Celtics.  Pau was once in the All-Star squad but that was a long, long time ago.  Odom is simply not in that level.  That leaves only Kobe against a formidable team of Garnett, Allen, and Pierce.

I just thought of this and I had yet found any image depicting Kobe in shining silver armor holding a sword in slashing motion against a 3-head dragon.  If anyone's got the graphics talent, this should be an easy task.  I have included a picture of a 3-head dragon.  :))   This should provide an excellent backdrop in this epic battle between the honorable Purple n Gold and the Weed-Stubborn Green.  Lakers in 5.  Go Lakers!!  Go Kobe the Dragonslayer!! There's a joke in there somewhere

I don’t agree with your point of view but I always enjoy dragon graphics.

Jokes aside..

This will be a battle between the benches. Key to the series will be how ready are Lakers’ bench coming to play? If the likes of Sasha-Farmar-Walton can contribute and Lakers’ starters can rest, the Lakers will be in good position to clinch any game that is within 10-point going into the last 5 minutes. I can’t see the Celts more capable of stopping a fresh-legged Kobe than Spurs could.

LeBron vs. Kobe

I always think of Kobe as a much better jump shooter than LeBron. We didn’t really see that Thursday night. In fact the mamba downright struggled from deep. But I can see him knocking down a lot more shots. Still same idea with LeBron. Keep him outside. And at least Kobe can’t run over people quite like LeBron.

Celtics Bench?

I’m not sure they have one anymore. Kind of depressing.
