Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers: Open Game Thread - Game 2
I'd like to see Boston maintain the home court. Go Celtics.

pierce 2nd team all-nba?
I’m as big a Pierce fan as anybody, and not a big Dirk fan, but does anybody else buy what Mark Jackson is selling: Pierce over Dirk or whomever for 2nd team All-NBA? Not so sure about that and it’s not like 3rd team is somehow disappointing. Thoughts?

player of the game?
Doesn’t really matter but who would be the player of the game tonight? Such a complete team effort really. As important as the bench was in game 1 and as well as the big 3 bounced back today, the bench was pretty huge today. Powe had all sorts of hustle points and boards. Cassell made things happen. Posey was great on defense and hit some solid shots. Just an all-around great team effort. Let’s see if they bring it on the road.

Pierce
I kind of see the Pierce argument. He really bought in this year and played a great all around game. And if there were ever a game that showed how unimportant stats can be tonight was that game. Still Dirk is Dirk. He’s the top dog on his team and a former MVP. Player of the game is a tough one for all the reasons you mentioned. Just a complete team effort. Ultimately I can’t pick anyone because Cleveland shot 6-24 from the floor. And that’s not about one guy.
