Perkins Will Give It A Go
The Celtics' shootaround just concluded, and center Kendrick Perkins (strained left shoulder) told the media that he's going to give it a go tonight. No word on whether or not he'll start at this point.
Perkins, who injured the shoulder in Game 4 and missed Game 5, says he's still in pain, but that it's getting better each day.

don’t know how effective he’ll be with one arm and the first bump might sideline him, but it is a good emotional lift

I love this kid. Yes, he may not be the most athletic player, he may not be the smartest man on the floor, but he really does understand that this is the Finals and he’s going to go out like this is the last chance he’ll ever have to win a title. You have got to love the heart this kid shows.

First good news since the end of game 5! Go C’s! His presence will set the tone early, even if he can’t go > 15 minutes! Go C’s … get it done tonight!

I hope they give Perk something for the pain so he won’t feel anything when he shoves Gasol around!

My sentiments exactly Bankshot.
Load him up and let him loose.
Make Gasol or Odom PAY for driving the lane.

Perk will be able t give his fouls freely knowing he won’t play that many minutes. Go Perk, go Celtics.

a friend of mine reminded me of Udonis Haslem. He had a recurring shoulder injury? How did he do in the playoffs?

Great news about Perk. Hopefully he can give some effective minutes.
It’ll be interesting to see how Odom and Gasol react to Perk being there.
