Michael Beasley, Derrick Rose, Oh My - 2008 NBA Open Draft Thread

I'm going to head out and catch this one with some friends. Feel free to leave a comment about Jermaine O'Neal heading to Toronto, Pat Riley's ultimate decision at #2, anything Celtics related, and everything else. Also check out Ridiculous Upside. Lots of folks over there from all sorts of NBA blogs talking about the draft and a lot more. It's pretty cool. In fact I jut learned that the Clippers moved up to #4.

[Green Bandwagon Update: The Clips did not move up to #4. It was talked about but did not happen because Mayo went to Minny. My mistake.]

Hey there

I’m a Red Sox fan and by that I mean I don’t know too much about basketball. If the C’s keep their pick, do any of you feel like they could get Douglas-Roberts? For the most part of the season, he was just as good, or nearly as good as Rose. And just because he has a ‘ugly shot’, and ‘blew the final game’ he may fall all the way to the last pick of the first round.

So, am I too wrong about this? I think he would look great wearing green, and would add ever more depth to our bench.

It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.

Great Question

And as it turns out he went 40th, which was a bit of a head scratcher. Really weird draft. I’ll be honest I didn’t follow it as much this year. And it confused the hell out of me. Don’t know what to say.

Green Bandwagon: Celtics '08 or bust. Are you on the bandwagon?

Yeah

I had really, REALLY no idea on who the heck Giddens was. This draft was indeed weird. I may sound stupid on the future about this, but right now Kevin Love going 5th overall is flat out silly.

Bill Walker

The Celtics traded for Bill Walker. Gave cash considerations to the Wizards for his rights.
