Someone named Bill Ingram is reporting:
James Posey is expected to announce that he'll re-sign with the Boston Celtics in the next 24 hours
I don't know anything about this source, so take it for what it is worth.
Update: Marc Spears reports otherwise
The agent for Celtics forward James Posey, Mark Bartelstein, said early Thursday evening that there was "nothing new" in regards to his client's free-agency situation.

If I were to guess, people are speculating that he will re-sign because he may have somehow indicated this much to someone…
Bartelstein is an agent after every penny, would it be in his best interest to tell the truth? No, he would cloak it…

Spoke with Bill – he said he heard from Posey’s agent who said he “expects” him to sign with the C’s tomorrow. Said it wasn’t 100% though.
I would think the Cavs would go after him hard though – he could be a big piece for them.

Seriously, this agent isn’t showing any cards. ESPN reported last night that Posey would probably make a decision within 24 hours ago, that was 22 hours ago.
But then when he was asked which way Posey may be leaning, he said he didn’t know. He knows, but he isn’t tipping his hand.

I spoke to a guy down the street. He says his cousin knows the best friend of the wife of Posey’s agent’s dry cleaner, and her nephew says authoritatively that Posey’s expected to announce his signing within the next 24 hours… and he’s ninety percent sure there’s at least a fifty-fifty chance of it happening, unless something unexpected develops. So I feel pretty confident.
