And...They're Back: Tony Allen and Eddie House
The word out of Boston is that Tony Allen and Eddie House will wear the green and white for two more seasons. The pending deals would also leave the C's with some of the mid-level exception. As a side note I tend to underestimate the complexity of these dealings. Just last week Eddie House's agent told me I insulted his client in NBA Live 08 and then cut off all talks with the club. And I offered more than Boston did last year. Meanwhile, from a continuity and emotional standpoint it's good to see these guys back in the fold. Hopefully Allen has another good summer of working out, rehabbing, confidence building and all around (i.e. dribbling) improvement.

The Celtics need an Antawn Jamison-stopper now.
With PP, RA, Rondo, Eddie, TA, Pruitt, Giddens and Walker, I think our defense in the back court is covered. But our frontcourt needs help in slowing down guys like Jamison and Boozer. Last year, KG and Perk had trouble guarding these athletic bigs who can score in the post and on the perimeter. Maybe Leon and Baby can help in that department, but they were rarely used against these type of forwards last year, so I don’t know…I just know that we have trouble guarding these bigs and we need someone who can slow them down. Who’s out there though..?

Good Question
Any big that is athletic and good enough to guard Jamison is probably locked up, restricted or too expensive for Boston right now. Still I’d argue that the Wizards, despite their 3 victories over Boston last season, still have to be concerned about who the Celtics throw out there and Boston’s team D. I’m happy with the bigs rotation of Perk and KG with Davis, Powe, and POB fighting for minutes. I can’t imagine Boston adds another impact big.
Green Bandwagon: Celtics '08 or bust. Are you on the bandwagon?
