NBA Gear

I don't buy a lot of NBA gear to begin with and what I do own is entirely Celtics related. However, I would probably buy a NBA t-shirt. And I'm intrigued by the D-League stuff. Unfortunately the Mad Ants are affiliated with the Pistons. Long story short though there is a 0% chance of me ever buying/wearing this.

Give'em 5 years. Tops.

There’s no way OKC can support an NBA franchise long term. Once the honeymoon is over, they will flounder, like Memphis, and will eventually regret ever moving there in the first place. David Stern is a buffoon (and possibly a criminal) for conspiring to steal a team from a great city like Seattle and planting them in the middle of nowhere. This will come back to bite him in the ass. An NBA team in OKC…What’s next? Sioux Falls?

I wouldn't count them out

But you make a great point about the honeymoon period. They were great with the Hornets but were recruiting a team. It’s tough to keep that up, especially if the team struggles.

Green Bandwagon: Celtics '08 or bust. Are you on the bandwagon?

It just doesn't add up...

I can see them supporting an NFL franchise, but 42 NBA games a year? I just can’t see it. OKC is one of the smallest markets in the country and even if Bennett spends like Mark Cuban and brings in star players to compete, it will just mean that he’s going to have to raise the ticket price to make the numbers work. I just don’t see how OKC’s economy can support an NBA franchise long-term and be successful.

The league needs to scrap some teams (Memphis, Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami, OKC and NO) and put franchises back in Seattle and Vegas.

I think the entire thing depends on the logo, and mascot

I like the idea of basketball in that part of the country. Would it be in poor taste to suggest the “Bombers” for the nickname?

I'd Imagine So...

People must hate you.
