Still Thinking Miles
Marc Spears makes this short note (hat tip to Red's Army):
An NBA source said the Celtics remain interested in free agent forward Darius Miles, who hasn't played the last two seasons because of a knee injury . . . Darius Miles can’t shoot like Posey but with his 6’9 frame and defensive tactics he learned in High School he could even guard many power forwards. If Kendrick Perkins got injured they can play Darius, Powe, and Big baby at the 4, and slide KG to the 5 along with O’Bryant. Signing Darius Miles solves our void at the 3 and alleviates some depth at the 5.

I remember Darius in LAC and he was on his way to the all-defensive team. Quentin Richardson even said Darius wanted to guard the teams best player no matter what position it was. The Celtics don’t need a Sam Cassel who only shoots and plays limited D. Those players don’t fir in with the Celtics. If Darius does all the right things because he knows this is his last chance this coming year he could actually be a contribution to our team.

If Ainge thinkks Miles can still play, I’d love this signing. Remember this guy came into the league right out of high school, full of talent, but he was too immature. Now after a career threatening injury and the oppurtunity to be around a group of established veterans, i think its time for Darius Miles to live up to his potential
