For Maggette, it’s Spurs or the team with cap space willing to pay above the MLE…

Weren’t we supposed to find out the new cap and luxury tax numbers today? Or is that tomorrow?

In the article on the Hornets it says the Hornets are looking at James Posey to “solve their needs at shooting guard”. Someone doesn’t have a clue there. I just wish it were 12:01 AM tomorrow morning and James is signing his contract with the Celtics.

Well,the Magic are paying nearly the full MLE for a shooting guard who can’t shoot. They would have done better going after Tony Allen, who is a better shooter, passer and defender than Pietrus.

On another topic, I finds it difficult to believe that the Hornets are willing to pay Posey the MLE for a full 5 years. George Shinn is almost as cheap as Donald Sterling.

Now the Lakers are a different story. They would give Posey a max deal without blinking.
