Christmas Present?
The NBA's 2008-09 schedule is expected to be released soon, with the holdup because of the Sonics' move to Oklahoma City. The Celtics are expected to open the season Oct. 28 at TD Banknorth Garden, at which time they will receive their championship rings and hoist banner No. 17 to the rafters. There are also rumors the Celtics will play the Lakers Christmas Day in Los Angeles.

I hate when they play on Christmas. I think the NBA should do like the NHL and not play on X-mas. The last time the C’s played on X-mas (back when Walker was on the team oringinally) they got killed. You could tell none of them wanted to be there and they were just going through the motions. It was a terrible game. Hopefully it will be in L.A. so we wont waste a home game.
One good thing is Pierce could possibly visit with his family for a few hours or a day. :)
