Magic Deny Rumor
Who knows if you can believe anything any GM says (or any rumor you hear) but the Orlando Sentinel reports the following:
Magic GM Otis Smith said the reports coming out of Boston that the Celtics asked about acquiring SG J.J. Redick are not true.
"Nope," Smith said. "I haven't talked to Danny [Ainge, the Celtics' General Manager/President of Basketball Operations], so I don't know how that can be out there. I can't remember the last time I've talked to him."
Reports have said the Celtics offered the Magic F Bill Walker and G Gabe Pruitt for Redick, but that Orlando turned down the deal.
Actually the original rumor mentioned JR Giddens, not Walker, but maybe there were other variations of the same rumor floating about.

The original rumor...
…never made any sense.

Pruitt is better than Reddick, so I’m sure Gabe wasn’t offered. Ainge isn’t stupid, you know.

Hope Not
I definitely hopes this rumor is just that….a rumor!! Furthermore, I hope that it never comes true as I see no point in trading for a player like Redick who would come in and do the same thing that House is getting paid House to do (to be an undersized 2 guard in a point’s body)…
only way I would make this trade is if either Battie or Brian Cook is involved along with Redick and the Magic take Big Baby, Giddens and Pruitt…

I didn’t think it was true either.
It’s amazing how many reporters make up their own rumours. That Kapono one ticks me off.

That would've been bad
I doubt it’s true, because Smith has no reason to lie. The reports say that he turned it down, which would show that he values his own player.
But Redick is just a slightly better version of House, without the playoff experience. I wouldn’t trade either of Pruitt or Walker for him, let alone both.

However, the Magic did offer Dwight Howard for Sam Cassell. I’m pretty sure about that.

I expect to see more Redick rumors as the deadline approaches, since the Magic are obviously shopping him.

What's the deal...
…with this Adrian Wojnarowski?
He also reported a few weeks ago that we were offering Giddens for draft picks or something.
Does this Wojnarowski guy just pick teams and players randomly and then write about them? He probably has a fancy roulette board or something, a dart board with players names and faces ha ha.
What an idiot!
