so, uh, just to throw it out there, this may be the best away game our man Rajon has ever played
and i am not trading him for harris either. and i think harris is really really good but rajon has out played him for almost 7 quarters now
You are posting this after today's game?!
Sure Eddie went through a stretch there where he wasn’t shooting the ball as well as normal, but he has been better the last few games. Today he has 13 pts on 5-8 shooting and played good ball denial defense the whole time he was in there and he gets grief?!
Eddie is a stud and like last year will be a big part of some huge games for us. He brings so much energy to the floor. With Gabe in there handling pg duties and allowing him to play the 2 he is a much better player. The second unit has a lot more potential with those two in there together.
Couldve seen an even more amazing night from rondo if given the minutes, I wouldve really liked to see the stat line after 40 minutes…oh well

I can' believe
doc’s not playing rondo. He needs a goddamn basket a rebound for a triple-double. come oooooooon
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
I know
I agree 100%, thats not what this teams about, But it would be nice to see rondo get more minutes when hes having a special game once and a blue moon

Sometimes, Doc is hurting Rajon statistic by continue sitting him down.
Why dont just sit him if his not playing well?
I mean rajon will be easily on the ASG this Feb but because of Doc it become so hard for him. I mean rajon should be on the the top of PG’s list this season.
We wanted Pruitt to get decent PT, but its hurting Rajon by that.
I just dont understand, its an easy Triple double tonight as he had a very good 1st half game.
He got 14 assists in 27 minutes…this is a kid who is capable of playing all 48…Imagine how many dimes this kid would average in a Mike Dantoni system ?

Imagine...
…if Doc had left Rondo in and he got injured.
What's the point of playing starters...
… when the game is already won? TO allow them to pad stats? Nobody in the league does that.
Why leave Rondo in, and humiliate the Nets (and Devin Harris) even further? When you have a chance for a Saturday afternoon practice, just sit your starters down and enjoy the view.
What's Going On Here?
Brick, Thank you for being the first to make some sense here. Bloggers, please remember Ubuntu. It’s not about the individual. And if people are concerned please email Rajon and see how he feels about it. Yesterday it was about Walker and making Doc look bad (by not playing and developing him after he’s been here 3 or 4 days). Today’s we’re using Rondo not padding his stats to make Doc look bad. I like Doc and I’m not ashamed of it. We’re on a nice streak where guys are getting much needed rest and yet we need to find fault. It’s a crazy world
yes obviously
still, it’s a great accomplishment, and with the way he was playing, he could have got it in about 5 more minutes. it does not account to anywhere, but still… i guess it’s a great feeling, and it’s not like triple-doubles come every day, not even for the greatest players. It would boost his confidence as well as gain him even more recognition
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
I mean, most of the timeyou heard conversation about who’s top PG’s in the League and Rajon is not included, i mean even Augustin is better than him in argument because people look on stat all time. I know its not about Stat, but its just sad to see this happening to Rajon.
yes and
casual fans look at stats. not even per-minute stats. if someone wasn’t watching the match, s/he’d say: ‘rondo had a nice game’ , althought in fact he destroyed NJ. it does not show THAT obviously in the box score
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
Y'all should chill about Rondo's stats.
He had a great game, team got an easy win. He’s had a triple double before, he’ll get more in the future. Focus on the W (plus getting time for the youngsters in a blowout: 12 minutes for Walker! Well done).
yes
pity for the 5 fouls in 12 minutes. not the best
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
Yeah but half of those were rookie fouls, if he was a veteran maybe 1-2 of those get called

Great game by Rondo and Ray.
Powe, House, Pruitt and BBD did a good job too. Love the way Powe can get to the line, and he made his free throws too. Defensively still needs work.
I know a lot don’t agree, but I love the potential I see in BBD. I’m real excited at what an excellent passer he is. Powe has him to thank for at least 6 of his points with the great and unselfish interior passing by BBD. This game was another good example of him making an impact and it not showing up in the stat sheet.
Starters sitting is great, Walker not so today
Starters should sit whenever possible. This team is rightly focuses on the end game, on winning. I doubt anybody gives a damn about individual stats (which, btw, is exactly Vince Carter’s problem), and that’s great…. that’s how you win a championship.
Meanwhile, it was great to see Sky Walker (or is it Billy The Kid?) get some real minutes, but he had a disappointing day. Maybe a little nervous to show his stuff. Turnovers, fouls, missed jumpers, even missed a dunk at one point… not very good. But his defense was aggressive and his free throws perfect. He needs as much time as they can give him now… if he gets it, he could be a huge contributor in the end game.
didn't take but a week for us to win enough and la and cle to lose enough
to close the gap in a big way. now into the all star game is big. if we can get some help and stay healthy and move into a tie we are in great shape. our schedule is pretty favorable vs cle and la the rest of the way imho ONCE we get the next week out of the way. tough Fla trip on the suns monday
the nets are not that bad but they sure played bad defense and i don’t want to hear that harris is a better point than rondo because rondo blew him out of the water. when ray can score early, and the offense is flowing we can beat anybody. still too many turnovers.
harris has looked like a top 3-4 point all year and rajon just cleaned his clock in back to back games
it would have been one thing if it was close but Harris looked completely outmatched. I just want to point out that rajon playing like this away from home was unusual. If this is what rajon does consistently away from home….well good luck to everyone else because they’ll need it.
This is nothing new
Outside of the 9 game slump, he’s out played pretty much every point guard he’s gone up against this year. This game is an excellent example of why Rondo is not given the full respect he deserves around the league. His numbers in no way represent his impact. Simply because when he does have a great game, we win by so much that this always happens. His impact on a game is so great, it goes beyond just him. When he plays like this, we are unbeatable. Cleveland, LA and yes Orlando, take note of this. If Rondo is at this level you have no shot, none.
SCOTT
The Nets are bad, but this is good
Spent all day watching my son’s basketball team, then headed out to UMass versus Temple so missed the Celtics. Pleasantly surprised when I checked out ESPN.com. Now let’s see what they can do against Shaq and friends Monday night.
Apparently it's impossible for Giddens to get 5 minutes in a blowout
With that huge lead, why not?
