Near Perfect Pierce

Pierce-wiz_medium

Pierce didn't miss his first shot until a minute left in the 3rd quarter, ending with 26 points.  He was 9 for 10 from the field and 5 of 6 from 3 point land.  Rondo contributed 14 assists and the bench had a solid game even before garbage time.  The Wizards are just not a very good team and they didn't put up much of a fight.  Then again, with the Celtics motivated and back home after that road trip, I'm not sure if anyone was going to beat them tonight.

great game for Pierce, but this is a win that i want to put behind me as quick as a loss…worst team in the east, at home…nothing to brag about, the only thing that matters about it is staying ahead of cleveland

Now its back on the road in NY than at Charlotte with the next night being home against houston than at cleveland…tough stretch for a tired team

the c’s are a good team; the wiz is not. so it’s an easy win, the kind that doesn’t break a sweat, but doesn’t prove anything. thank goodness we’ve been lucky and good on the injury front- the wiz is decimated-and down went blatche.

Is Pierce In A Slump

He missed a shot, a three, last nite. What’s wrong with this guy. It could be it was a pass to Perk. He hit 5 three pointers in a row and missed the 6th which happens to be the record and belongs to Danny Ainge and Walter McCarty. PP has been busting Max every time he breaks one of his records, but I don’t think Paul wants to go at it with Danny. Too many bad consequences. Danny might take him onto the golf course and reduce the team’s salary cap. It’s a new rule: If the boss takes all your money at golf it comes off the team’s salary cap. So we can deal for Lebron now.

And Perk Didn't Bring The Ball Down

Notice how Perk kept the rebound high on PP’s miss and put it in softly off the glass.

Another look at the Boxscore shows amazing balance and efficiency…Pierce with 10 shots and he scores 26?….thats really good…Rondo in 26 minutes gets 14 assists? if this kid got 40 minutes, he would have chris paul numbers.
Anyways, this team is some fun to watch at home with how unselfish they are…the one problem is it doesnt work as well on the road where the big 3 IMO have to take more than 9-13 shots and they cant get away with as many turnovers from trying to be too unselfish
