Perk going too far is a GREAT thing...

Just my opinion, I know he went too far, but I think that is a neccessity at this point. Moreover, I absolutely love what he did.

I like Maxiell alot and certainly don't think he deserved what he got, but Perk sending a message is just what this team needs to continue to do. How many time this year, has Pierce, Allen or especially Rondo been fouled hard? This NEEDS to happen once in a while to let teams know who is the tougher team.

Instead of letting the Artest's of the league push our guys around, sometimes you have to cross the line on the biggest of stages. Perk is our enforcer, I say let him enforce. Suspend him for a game, get him some rest, WHO CARES!

In closing... I loves it.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

I agree somewhat. The way other teams push Rondo around esp.

How can you like Maxiell alot? and how doesnt he deserve it? I cant think of many guys that deserve it much more than him.
first of all, to all those that gush over his play, hes a more expensive version of leon powe and Id even take BBD over him..the guy averages about the same numbers as leon last year in 7 more minutes of play – and his numbers dropped in the playoffs…sorry but I just dont think hes very good and gets too much credit for being an average energy guy

This doesn't make any sense

The way you show the league that you are tough is to retaliate in a game where, say, someone fouled Rondo hard. Go after him! But, in a game where we are winning against a Detroit team that no longer really cares, and had done nothing that required any retaliation, the rest of the league won’t take notice that we won’t be pushed around.

Perks just wasn’t thinking. Dumb move. Nothing to love about it. If anything, it will just cause more people to come hard after Perk – which might end his season given how frail his shoulders have been.

I agree it is better to do it in the same game but I feel less bad for Maxiell considering what he did to Rondo.

Perk's the new Parish!

I love Perkins! I love everything about him – his game, his intensity, his toughness . . . . . his FACE!
Right after watching him knock Maxiel down, and after I stopped laughing, I started thinking about when the Chief laying out Bill Laimbeer in the 1987 conference ms. If you’ve never seen it, just go to YouTube and search for Parish punches Laimbeer.
Also on another note, I just read about Bynum’s injury. That’s too bad for them, and for us…….. I wanted them to be at full strength when we beat them again in the finals!

So ...

… when Bynum gave Gerald Wallace a collapsed lung, was that a great thing too?

I’m just wondering how many Celtics fans thought the Lakers center should have been suspended for giving a “hard foul”, yet simultaneously applauded Perk for doing the same thing …

The worst part about the bynum foul was the injuries Wallace recieved…Maxiell is fine, if he wasnt, Id be much more remorseful

Your first line pretty much answers your second line, did Maxiell get a collapsed lung?

If..

you want to come into the paint like a tough guy at some point you have to take a tough foul!!!
