What about a trade with Portland?
Long time lurker. Portland is up against the Luxury tax with Miles being on the roster and they may need to free cap space to do so. Combination of Tony Allen(If Healthy) and Scal (Send 3 million for next years salary) for Outlaw. I haven't put it thorough a tradechecker to see if it works or not. I have also thought of Przbilla (sp).
Thoughts suggestions? This team needs a boost of energy. The passion is fading for this team.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

I don't think so.
The trade would not work because of salary cap reasons. And besides, the Blazers probably would not accept to deal with TA and Scal on the table. As I have stated before, the C’s will have to give up a starter and/or a number 1 pick to get a player that will help significantly. Other choices would be to waive players, pick up one or two from the NBDL (Courtney Sims) or the Euro League.

You may have a better shot at getting Webster since Outlaw seems to be solidly in their rotation. That being said, I don’t the Blazers have any interest in TA/Scal.
When Perk was asked what he thought of Howard winning the gold medal this summer, he responded: "What’s his impression of me after I won a ring?"

Well...
…Webster is injured, that’s why he’s not part of their rotation. I think Outlaw will be the one available. Surely not for this package though. They wouldn’t trade Przybilla for our entire bench.

you're right
the rumor is that it is Outlaw, not Webster, who will be traded.

Geez...if those rabid Blazers fans read this...
Miles was waive. He’s not on a roster. They don’t have any luxury tax concerns. They’d never trade for Allen and Scal. They wouldn’t trade Przybilla for our entire bench.

RABID! HOW DARE U!!!
Just kidding. You’re right about Przybilla. We probably wouldn’t give him up for your starters either. He’s pretty important to us.

No knock on the Boston starters
I just like having two centers on my team haha. Especially with Oden’s (ahem) occasional foul trouble…

rabid?
rabid… RABID????
ummm… okay. I thought we were maniacs though. (Blazermania)
Miles is not as detrimental as people make him out to be to the Blazer cap space. Dave has a good article on Blazers Edge breaking it down. http://www.blazersedge.com/2009/1/8/713686/miles-update#comments
As for trades Outlaw/Sergio could be future trade bait. Joel, Aldridge, Roy, Oden, Rudy, Bayless, Blake, Batum are all not happening without equal or greater value/potential in return.
Other players (Frye, Diogu, Randolph) are definite feasible trade pieces thrown in with teh above pieces that would very likely do better on other teams with more playing time. Sergio is a question mark. I personally believe the kid has talent but he doesn’t fit the nate system.
Webster is very likely a guy the blazers keep. Injury sucks as he made some huge progress over the summer. His stats are hurt because of Nate’s system and use of the SF, but that kid can play and has serious value even if others in the league don’t recognize it due to absence and how nate uses him.

They’d never trade for Allen
That’s not true. We would love to have Ray Allen.
Tony Allen is a nice energetic player, but we have Roy, Rudy and Bayless playing at the 2.

Now you sound....
Like a Sox fan!!!
Step 1. Find our WORST players that stink up the joint, are hurt, and we have ZERO use for
Step 2. Find a mediocre team with youth, energy, and upside
Step 3. Offer them the players from Step 1 for a player that fills our need perfectly, for a cost-effective solution to all our problems.

That said, PLEASE keep Scalabrine.
That is, unless, you’re interested in a Shavlik Randolph/Scalabrine heads-up deal.

I'm just glad that it's not only our fans who make crazy trade proposals.
All of us want our teams to get better without sacrificing anything that’s working, so I think DesertCFan’s proposal is typical of those immersed in fandom – like me and other Blazer fans. Still, I wish the Balzers were closer to the point where your team is. Hopefully in a couple more years.
Thanks for letting this Blazer fan pop in for a moment.

PTB not up against the Luxury Tax
at least significantly. If Miles ends up on our books, we have less cap space but still plenty (see Dave’s breakdown at Blazers Edge), thanks to Danny Ainge and the RLEC.
Your team will be fine – they are pretty good even when playing poorly. But do find a Big to spell Garnett/Perkins. Other than Davis. It seems to me that no PJ Brown is a bigger deal than no Posey

Nah
Just for the simple fact that PJ Brown did nothing for us last regular season and only played in a handful of games and were fine with what we got now while Posey was very instrumental in the regular season and playoffs

That makes sense
but PJ seemed pretty important in the playoffs, and as a lot of people have noted, opposing teams are coming at the C’s with playoff intensity right now

You would be better to sign somebody from the d-league.

This trade idea
Not happening.
Outlaw has more value and the cap isn’t as big of an issue as some media people would have others believe.
Outlaw is likely trade able for the right pieces.
Pryz is pretty much untouchable for the simple reason that good centers are hard to find and the guy is good. Any trade with Pryz would include a center that would be a wash because the blazers would have no center (Oden isn’t going t be a serious force until next year).
