Fixing the last problem with our bench...
The roster is looking good, there is talent at every position and 3-4 major starts on the roster. However, I see a GLARING hole on the bench. It's that hyrbrid 3-4 guy that can guard the mobile/perimeter forwards in the league. Sure Pierce can cover one, for stretches, but I really feel that the roster is lacking that perimeter defender who can guard the hybrid forwards that teams seem to be going towards. I think Orlando's Lewis/Hedo were match-up nightmares last year and I can see teams attempting the same thing again this year.
With that said....
I think the obvious way to improve is to consolidate talent. Why not re-visit last year's deadline deal that flopped and targer Andres Nocioni. He's the PERFECT fit to finish of th bench. He'll come cheaply in that all it would cost are some expirings like Scalabrine, Allen and a small contract filler like Walker, Giddens or Hudson. His deal declines each year and he's battle tested. He'll hit the open three at a positive 40+% clip and is the prefect role player to come off the bench for this roster as he's an active defender that can guard both 3's and 4's. He's also insurance in case KG goes down. Not all the frontcourt depth would be lost. I think this is trade that makes sense both ways, as it helps the Celts win the championship now and helps the Kings to continue rebuilding.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

it wasnt really hedo that was the match up problem but lewis pierce can guard hedo hes slow n has no athleticsm, lewis is too long for pierce and to quick for baby at the time, that was the problem, with KG back lewis will be under control and pierce can easily check carter the only person pierce cant defend is LBJ, but noone can so theres really nothing you can do about that jus limit him as best as possible

I agree with you...
but teams are putting out two hyrbid forwards, and having Noc off the bench can help squash that problem.

Hedo is now in Toronto
so name another team with 2 hybrid forwards. if i cared enough, I could do the research on my own, but you made the comment so i want you to defend it.
I can think of other teams that 1 hybrid forward, but none that have two or at least play them at the same time.

We would have to be looney to want Nocioni. Listen very carefully we have close to seven mil stuck with scal and tony now why we go get a guy thats 30 and over paid. We could take the same money and spend it on a young talented player.
We have Rondo’s contract and Daniels contract plus Ray Allen to resign.
