Could Rip Hamilton be on the Move?

Could Joe Dumars be up to it again? Rumors persist this morning that a deal for Rip Hamilton may be imminent (http://www.pistonpowered.com/2009/10/are-the-pistons-on-the-verge-of-trading-richard-hamilton/). He did not participate in this mornings shoot around. A trading partner has not been named as of yet. Danny wouldn't deal Ray Allen for Rip, right? Would you even consider breaking up the Big Three right now?

I would consider it due to Ray's impending free agency at the end of the season.

If we aren’t going to resign Ray, I would contemplate the move. Hamilton is a few years younger than Ray, already has championship experience, and knows how to play with Sheed. I prefer Ray, but if this move did happen, I wouldn’t complain.

Rip isn't coming Boston's way

I would not be surprised, however, to see Rip and end up in Golden State along with Prince and Stuckey for Stephen Jackson, Monta Ellis and maybe Turiaf.

What’s with all the Ray hate? As far as I can tell, PP/RAY/KG are done moving around. PP has repeatedly said he will do whatever he needs to to make sure they continue to play together, and that he would be very unhappy otherwise. Ray is going to take a pay-cut and stay a Celtic. He is probably the greatest shooter to ever live, and he is having a blast out there as a Celtic, enjoy it. Wow.

Rip for Boozer makes a lot of sense for both sides.

Rip for Jax, I would love just because it means Jax wouldn’t be going to Boston. Don’t see how that would help things unless it was a huge deal like nick proposed. Detroit just has too many wings.

Grr. “Jax going to CLEVELAND” is what I meant to write.
