Reminder: Celtics Training Camp Streamed Tonight At 7:00pm
For anybody who may have missed it, the Celtics practice will be streamed on NBA.com tonight at 7:00pm. From what I understand, this will cover the Celtics practice, and potentially a scrimmage. For those who don't have access to a computer, it will be replayed on NBAtv at midnight. The announcers will be Andre Aldridge and Cedric Maxwell.
More details here (NBA.com) and here (the Herald blog). We'll have a game thread up for the practice, and as always you're invited to our chat room to discuss the action.

I don’t know about the NBA.COM live stream, but for Direct TV at midnight and several times in the next few days, I think every one of them is from 2008. At least that is what the description says on Direct TV on NBATV.
I'm not sure what DirectTV says...
But NBA.com says it’s from this season.

We'll know it's from this season
When we see Daniels playing PG + taking it to the hoop in the scrimmages.
The chat room is open and (semi) active

Can they show what's actually going on?
Why else would anyone want to watch? Who tuning in would want to watch players sitting on benches or close-ups of one player for 5 minutes?
God Almighty
Does NBA-TV know who their audience is? Why do they keep rehashing things everyone knows? Why do they keep giving us 5 minute closeups of players on the bench? Why do they keep showing Max and Aldridge instead of the scrimmage? There’s been like 1.5 minutes of actual scrimmage action in the 1st half hour!
Who ever is directing this travesty should be fired. The people who actually tune in to watch preseason scrimmage are the type of people who actually want to see the scrimmage, not hear about a bunch of things that most causal fans already know….

I think I saw 9 whole plays...
And a couple 5 minute close ups of Ray and Paul on the bench.

What a friggan waste
We tuned in to watch the announcers and zoom-ins of a player on the bench.
Couldn’t they talk while showing the action?
Couldn’t they discuss things that weren’t already discussed to death?
Couldn’t they ask questions to Danny that weren’t already asked and answered in the past few weeks.
What a disappointment..
I don’t know about you folks, but I tuned in hoping to see allot of Cedric Maxwell and some other broadcaster I really never heard of talk to each other and say allot of cliches while my favorite team played somewhere out of focus in the background. That was what I was really hoping for when I took the time to tune in.
Look – I did not have any great expectations or anything, but that really sucked. Period.
It’s kind of funny. I tuned in late. Or at least, I thought I had. All I saw was Maxwell talking to what’s-his-name, interspersed with a bunch of Kobe commercials. I figured the practice was over, and the few players I saw standing about, were simply videotaped earlier. Then I came to this page and found I missed next to nothing that was actually shown.
I paid for NBA Broadband last year, but I’m not sure I will this time around. I hate being played for a fool.
NBATV replaying this right now
on PST! SOo happy I get a break from stupid Lakers training camp.

Love the PP interview!
He’s looking good and he has some good news. Can’t wait to see Quisy getting minutes

It was like going to see a movie and spending two hours staring at the popcorn.
I was waiting for this anxiously for a week, and came on here this morning to see if any was as disappointed as I was. What a waste!
This game took a number of days off my life, but I didn't have anything scheduled.
