C's Set For Lift Off Against Houston

The lens on my magnifying glass has been cleaned. Images of all the quotes and video clips from training camp have been wiped away. This wednesday night the Boston Celtics will meet the Houston Rockets in the team's first preseason game.  Even though preseason games don't count as far as wins and losses, wednesday night's affair will draw attention.   A lifetime Celtic's fan, I can not remember a more anticipated preseason game than this one.    We will finally get our first look at newcomers Sheldon Williams and Marquis Daniels.  It will be strange seeing Rasheed Wallace in a Boston uniform.  Ofcourse all eyes (and cameras) will focused on Kevin Garnett.   Emotions will be high.  The truth about number five's health will become more clear.  I am tired of analyzing 30 second clips of the man limping up and down the court and then insisting that nothing is wrong.   Wednesday evening,  Houston will put Kevin Garnett, and his recovering knee, to the test.

Here is what to look for during the game:

1. How fluid is Kevin as he changes speeds and direction?

2.  How well does he movement laterally?

3. Will he be able to land on the leg properly.

3. Will he pace himself effectively, or push himself too hard.

4. How will Doc manage KG's minutes.  Will the coaching staff trust Garnett

5. How will KG's knee respond after game one, and what will he be like in preseason game number two.

6. How long will it take, once the game has started, for the first post to be published? (Lol)

Scrimmages cannot simulate 'real game' action.  You don't need to be an NBA analyst to note Kevin Garnett has not looked good in training camp.  Is the Celtics organization lying to their fans about the health of their star player or are we just over analyzing as usually.

Im trying to keep my magnifying glass as clear as possible.  Let's see what happens this week.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
