KG May Not Play Wed
On tuesday's edition of "Sports Tonight" on ComcastSportNet, the crew played a clip of Doc Rivers saying that Kevin Garnett was in pain. This was said to be how Garnett is felt the eve of the preseason. This updated clip also showed KG limping around again.
Jackie Mcmullen was a guest on the show. She talked about how difficult , mentally, it is recovering from a serious injury is for an athletic She made reference to what Larry Bird went through mentally with his injuries. Jackie noted that it ended up taking Bird longer than he expected to recover.
A more alarming, but honest statement about KG came towards the end of the program.
At the end of the show, Michael Felger turned to Gary Tanguay and asked him if Gary thought Kevin Garnett will play tomorrow night. Gary said that he didn't know. He then deflected the question by telling Felcher to ask Dickerson.
Greg Dickerson is a side line reporter for the Celtics and a host of the show. Greg's reports from training have been positive, especially on Garnett. Now that the preseason is here, so is the truth. 'The Big Ticket' is not even close to being 100%.
Folks, do not be surprised if Kevin Garnett is on the bench in street clothes during the Celtics first preseason game tomorrow night. As the preseason starts so should your patience.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

He won't be in street clothes
If he wouldn’t do that in the regular season. He wouldn’t do that in the pre-season. He will play.

OMG! Let’s stop speculating and analyzing every slight comment on KG and just play the damn game! There is absolutely no new news on KG, and there hasn’t been since Preseason started. But every time a new piece of grainy, out-of-context practice footage surfaces, every blog goes bananas and starts asking what it means.
C’mon, people! Stop thinking about it so much and just let it play out! Scheesh!

I keep reading he has Shin Splints and...
Don’t know how many of you have had Shin Splints. I have, and it feels like little tiny nails are piercing your shins. I had a track scholarship in college and so they FORCED me to run Cross-Country as well, which I loathed, and it always gave me the shin splints. They DO go way after a while, but they do hurt. If that’s KG’s only problem, he can play through that pain.
