What happened to the defense?
The Celtics have now allowed the opposition to shoot .450 or better from the field in 4 of the last 5 games, and as a result is a very pedestrian 3-2 in those.
Whatever happened to the team that took pride in its defense?!
Throw in the fact that we were also outrebounded in 4 of the last 5 contests (despite being a very good reboudning team over the last two seasons -- with and without Garnett), and it seems like Doc has his work cut out for him. Either that, or it's time for the players to step it up.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

The Celtics when they are motivated and give 100% on defense .......
they are the best team in the NBA.
When they are not motivated and do not give 100% on defense they are just a average team.
The C’s have played pretty darn good defense this year in most of their games but have had games where the defense has disappeared like last night.
They have a deep bench with fresh legs and enough young players on the team to sustain such sustained defensive pressure, so the defensive lapses are not due to physical reasons.
Therefore I think the reason for the defensive lapses are due to a lack of motivation and heart playing defense.
If the C’s mentally put their minds to play defense at all times and not take nights off and do it with motivation and heart they will be fine.

Yeah, I am sure the refs happened over a stretch of 5 games.

under 6 minutes
no, that was only a stretch of under 6 minutes. That works out to 88 fouls in one game. A little supsicious? Hmmm.

Right, and given that we haven’t been committing 88 fouls a game, this was obviously not the problem.
And your copy-paste act is getting old already, in case you wondered.

88
nobody commits 88 fouls in a game. So last night, yes, that was obviously the problem. When its never happened before in an NBA game, sounds like a problem to me.
10 fouls in a row under 6 minutes =NBA record.
I don’t even think any of those fouls were obvious either.
Total whislte job.
