Stephen Jackson traded to Charlotte
Details of the trade are Jackson and PG Acie Law to the Bobcats for Raja Bell and Vlad Radmanovic. I guess the Bobcats will go with Jackson being their de facto power forward but I think this is a steal for the Bobcats except they now become very small. I also say look for a huge spike in Jackson's numbers as his effort on the defensive and rebounding end have been, lax, for lack of a stronger word.

As an aside...
Where I had Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson playing together in my Celticsblog NBA team, the Boxers, it will be exceedingly interesting to me how they fit together as I thought they would be a fantastic fit together but would like it better if they were playing the 2/3 wings positions with a real honest to goodness PF.

I think they’re best off with a perimeter orientated power forward. Provide some spacing (jump shooting) and clear the paint for Wallace. Also give Jax a good option in pick and rolls/pops.
I think Boris Diaw is a very good fit for those two.

They've had that option all along and their offense has been putrid.
I say Murray starting with Jackson, Wallace, Chandler, and Felton and bring Diaw off the bench for some scoring from the bench for the front court.

Their offense is going to be garbage no matter what. They simply don’t have talent.
Out of all of their players, I think Diaw is the one who adds the most to their offense.

Great acquisition from Charlotte.
Now they lack a bench because Radmanovic was huge for them with the 2nd unit, but their starting five is pretty good.
Also, why do you assume they’re going to play Jax at the 4? I think they will play Wallace at the 3, Jackson at the 3, and Diaw at the 4, with Chandler as the center. It makes the most sense since they have Mohammed and Diop as big men on their bench.

I think
That they start Flip Murray at the 2 guard. I think their depth chart will go something like this
Felton/Augustin/Law
Murray/Wallace/Henderson
Wallace/Jackson/Graham
Jackson/Diaw/Brown
Chandler/Mohammed/Diop/Ajinca
I think they seriously lack offense and that this was a move to improve that on two ends, the PF spot and the SG spot. Shipping Bell out opens up the starting spot for Flip Murray, who’s been pretty good when he’s played with quality players in his past. Jackson at the PF allows Diaw to give the bench some punch at the frontcourt position off the bench as bench scoring from their bigs has been pathetic.

I think that lineup loses more defensively + on the boards than it gains offensively versus their normal starting unit.

Rebounding is not a problem for the Cats
They are actually a pretty good rebounding team ranking 10th in total rebounds and 4th in rebound %. They can afford to lose some rebounding if it means better offense because, given the fact they are only scoring 82 points a game, they desperately need scoring. Diaw is a lot of things but a scoring, starting big man is not one of them. They need Murray’s Jackson’s outside shooting, to open lanes for Felton and Wallace who both are not good shooters.
Diaw will be more effective coming off the bench playing against second unit PFs with Augustin, Mohammed, and either Wallace or Jackson or both of them playing along side him.
Either way, this team is going to be a good rebounding team. They just need to score a whole bunch more, like 12-15 PPG.

I don't think Charlotte becomes any smaller
They didn’t give up any bigs to get Jack.
I think a starting lineup of Chandler, Diaw, Gerald Wallace, Jackson, and Felton is pretty interesting, and I could see Larry Brown getting that group into the playoffs (albeit as first round fodder).
Great trade for Charlotte.
