atlanta is good

Atlanta is a very good team.  They can shoot, defend and they are very good on the offensive boards.  They play a fast and crazy enough pace to make up for a pretty small center tandem that could or should be abused on defense.  And they have the stud that can create his own shot.  They block shots, they beat teams to lose balls, they seem both young and hungry and poised and smart which like it or not, Bibby helps greatly with.  I think ESPN's power rankings are right - they should be thought of as an elite team in the east.  they will have to be dealt with and we should not misunderestimate them ;).  Just watched a fantastic game between them and Portland, and wow, I wish we had Fernandez.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

beat miami tonight
held whinywade to 15 on 6 of 18
only had 8 turnovers
outscored miami 44 to 28 in the paint
I am not some Atlanta troller (is that the term?) – I am a little scared of this team.
They controlled their d-boards at a 75% clip and kept miami down to 68% (part of my long running wind-mill chase to get boards shown as a percentage which is the only way that makes sense to me)

They are playing great but will they be playing great all year? We’ll see

Atlanta might be TOO good!

Athletically, we cannot compete with their energy and hunger.

yes of course

The mighty mighty Hawks, one 40+ win seasons in the last 10 years. 1 NBA title in the last 50. We just can’t compete with them, plain and simple.

What does that matter? The past is the past. This is a new year. As of the 2009-10 season the Hawks have a higher winning percentage than the Celtics do. You shouldn’t take this team lightly, they’ve improved every year and this year they finally beat us in our own building. There is no other team I fear a playoff match with more than the Hawks.
