Sheridan: What's wrong with the Celtics?

complaining
whiney, pessimistic, glass half empty, NBA finals are in November, lackluster, overrated expectations, trade everybody for everybody else, overdoing it, not looking at the stats fans + refs=What’s wrong with the Celtics.
you cant blame it on the refs cause david stern eats out of the palm of your hand (celtics, lakers and cavs)

Who are you?
You’re not from here, are you? Ray Allen wouldn’t have been called for that offensive foul in the final minute of regulation if what you say is true. Don’t give us that.
so your blaming all the celtics stuggles on a single call come one every game has bad calls and they hurt both teams so that’s just an excuse and who are you???lol

If you're not going to listen to me
Then you can leave, but I’ll repeat my point.
You blatantly said we can’t blame the refs because David Stern “eats out of the palm” of the Celtics’ hands, as if to imply a bad call would never happen to them. I’m simply pointing out it did and when .
I did not say that’s why the Celtics have been struggling all year so far. Indeed, if the Celtics actually blew the Knicks out of the water when they had the chance, such as when they were up by 10+, Ray Allen probably doesn’t even have to be in the game at that point. But please, stop convincing yourself that the Celtics get special treatment because of who they are.
i understand you point but why do you get all upset and threatening asking me to leave and saying “who are you” you make new people to this site feel unwelcomed

yes
no way we would have beaten the Hawks in Boston if it wasn’t for Stern. Stern called that game in for us. Thank you once again. If Celtics didn’t get that techincal on Josh Smith in the 4th they definetly would have lost.

in my opinion
lol no way you’ll get rudy gay, shane battier, or rudy fernandez and i think that the celtics are showing there age there pretty old now and its taking a toll on your team especially garnett since he came straight out of high school…. the celtics look sluggish because last year when you played us (magic) ya looked more explosive but not anymore i still think it’s going to be boston and orlando in the ecf doe….

This is what is wrong
PPG 97.7 OPPG 88.4 +/-9.3.
+9.3 PPG Ranks the Celtics as #1 in the NBA!!!! OMG what is WRONG with this team, they are #1 in the NBA in the most important team statistic.
Offensive Rating: 107.5 (13th of 30) ▪ Defensive Rating: 97.2 (1st of 30)
Off/Def EFF +10.3 Ranks the Celtics as #1 in the NBA!!! OMG what is WRONG with this team, they are #1 in the NBA in the 2nd most important team statistic.
Panic time, panic time Celtics are #1 in the NBA panic time panic time.
(That's Boston)
I think there is a long, proud history of this perspective; the Celtics teams of the 1960s were expected to bring home AT LEAST one NBA championship every season.
take off the green glasses
rework your stats excluding the first 6 games of the year and you’ll get a more accurate picture of what’s going on.
The majority of the games they’ve played—which is after the first 6 games—have been poor or mediocre efforts at best.
Judge a team by the majority of games they’ve played, not the minority. At this point in the season, the outstanding start in the first 6 games is the aberation, not the recent stretch of games. There’s definitely reason for concern until they turn this around and at least reach the point where the majority of their games have been played at a high level of quality/effort.
So their game against the Jazz doesn't count?
What about the Nets?
yes sir master your honor
The first 6 games do not count now in the standings or for anything. All the stats by all the players have been wiped out. The fans took a pill which refrains them from ever remembering any portions of the game. The videotapes have been destroyed, all the arenas have been dismantled, knocked down, and moved to a different location. As we speak there is no evidence whatsoever anywhere that suggests the first 6 games of the NBA season ever happened. Those 6 games are now in a special black box with evidence from Roswell and marked Do Not Open Until the Year 5050.
The Celtics are now 4-4, that is their new record because the first 6 games no longer exist, because the Celtics won those games so they are thus void, invalid and non-existent.

off the glasses go
Best Road Record in the NBA. Do you know who it is? I’ll give you a hint its not 5-1 and its not the Celtics. Remember? You have to take the green glasses off, and you must abide by the media and restate everything they have said word by word. Remember? The media said the Celtics are playing bad. So the Best Road Record in the NBA is Not by the Celtics because they are Not 5-1. Its actually another team in the NBA. So choose out of the other 29 teams, but remember you can’t say its the Celtics because the media says that you can’t. And that is who you worship and who puts the roof over your head. The Best Road Record in the NBA is Not the Celtics, the Celtics are Not 5-1 on the Road. The Celtics do Not have Garnett, Allen, Pierce, Wallace or Rondo on their team and they are NOT 5-1 on the road so don’t get it twisted and make sure the green glasses are off when you read articles by the media.

NJ Nets
so I guess the Nets have the NBA 2010 title wrapped up according to this article. 0-13 Can this team get any better?? 84.9 95.1 -10.2 .
Congratulations according to this article the 2009-10 New Jersey Nets are World Champions!!
Just Grind it out....
We’ll get out of this funk with plenty of time to spare,
-Sheed is not going to go from a solid 3pt shooter to a dismal one overnight, it’s just a bad run. Same with Eddie.
- We get Glen back soon, that will solidfy the 2nd unit.
- Our defence is going to get better as the season progresses. So will the offense. It was clicking at the beginning of the season. It will come back to the team.
Yup.
I don’t understand why everyone is flipping out like the seasons already over. We’re in a funk right now, but I feel confident this team can find its way out.
No need for the “Should we trade Ray Allen” and “Rondo sucks” posts.
Don't Trade Rondo or Perk!
Celtic fans need to calm down. there’s plenty of season left.

its over
Celtics are 10-4, that’s it the season is over, Celtics lost. The remaining 68 games in the regular season have been cancelled. And the 6-0 start has been nullified also. So that is it. 2009-10 Boston Celtics Final Record 4-4. Finish:Last Place.
Season is over folks, its been fun. Until 2010-11. See ya then!!

all comes down with Sheed & House
if both of them (or at least one) plays good , Celts win the game – look at the statistics and you’ll agree with me. It’s the same by the big 3: if one of them is out of shape the other 2 have to play better… For me, Sheed is a big inconsistence till now and house also misses a bunch of shots… Sure another addition would be great – you see it by Daniels and Sheldon Williams – they are more important, than anybody thought and I would give Sheldon more playing time than Rivers gives him..
I asked god and he said: L.A. will lose again next year!! ^_°
