Running Back Chris Johnson Issues A Challenge to Rajon Rondo
via lesterslegends.com
Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has been lighting up the NFL as of late. This past Sunday, Johnson tied an NFL record. He has rushed for 125 yards of more for the sixth straight game. The only two other running backs to complete this feat are Earl Campbell and Eric Dickerson. So know you are thinking, what does this have to do the Boston Celtics and why is this being posted on CelticsBlog?
Well just a little while ago, Chris Johnson issued a challenge to our point guard (Rajon Rondo) via his Twitter account (@ChrisJohnson28):
"My bradda @lambo6 (Marquis Daniels) called me and said they point guard rondo want to race me for 2k that's easy money set it up on espn"
"@lambo6 (Marquis Daniels) tell rondo I got a blank check (@mikesimswalker voice)"
So how much would you pay to see the fastest man in the NFL race arguably the fastest man in the NBA? Whose your money on? Will CJ28 leave Rondo in his dust or will Johnson get Rondo'd?
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

I'll go with Johnson...
A 4.24 in the 40 is tough to beat. Rondo would win if both guys were dribbling, though. ;-)
All the negativity in this town sucks. It sucks, and it stinks, and it sucks. - Rick Pitino
Rondo is bad ass, but not 4.23 bad ass
Rondo would have him in the first 15-20, but he would pull it out in the last 10 and win, but Rondo was a quarterback……hope it happens after we hang banner 18!
lets throw carl crawford out there and see whats what
CELTICS, BRAVES, REDSKINS, AND THE CAPS
if your talking a straight up 40 time well then chris johnson would win, but anything longer than that im not so sure
rondo makes a living going up and down up and down the court cj would be DONE after one up and down
CELTICS, BRAVES, REDSKINS, AND THE CAPS
have you seen cj run?
he will not be done after one up and down. that guy is ridiculous and this isn’t even that close. nothing against rondo, but CJ is a freak. plus, football is much more a game based upon speed than basketball is.. and CJ is one of the fastest (if not THE fastest) players out there.
oh and barbosa has most certainly lost a step, maybe hes injured but i live out west and see phoenix a lot and barbosa is not the same player he used to be

Rondo challenged him first
Yea, what a cool guy.
Well let me welcome everybody to the wild wild west. A state that's untouchable like Elliot Ness.
talk about willful ignorance...
it shouldn’t take a genius to know that an athlete that trains, and has trained, the majority of his life with 40lbs of gear attached to his body while running on grass would smoke any athlete that runs in rubber bottom shoes on wood floors for a living. i don’t think the olympics has a 60 yard dash competition, which is still twice the size of a basketball court. rondo loses this race. so does lebron and speedy claxton if that makes you feel better.
Lakers, Hurricanes, Dolphins
Imagine my sports world in the 80's. They're almost back, 'ceptin the Dolphins
im not so sure they did a race a couple of years ago between jose reyes and steve smith reyes won
CELTICS, BRAVES, REDSKINS, AND THE CAPS
and i remember at one point rocket ismail raced tim raines back in the day too and raines won
CELTICS, BRAVES, REDSKINS, AND THE CAPS
maybe it wasnt raines but a fast expo i think
CELTICS, BRAVES, REDSKINS, AND THE CAPS
they used to do this every now and again
CELTICS, BRAVES, REDSKINS, AND THE CAPS
and i general basketball players have longer steps and longer strides so they would help win them the race

Fastest in NBA?
I’m not sure Rondo is the fastest in the NBA. Ty Lawson and Leandro Barbosa are pretty damn fast.
