Celtics beat Wizards to record ninth win in a row
The Celtics went into Verizon Cen ter and picked up their ninth straight win, 104-102, but the Wizards gave them their biggest scare in a while, taking Boston to the final minute before fading in front of 20,173 fans.
Point guard Rajon Rondo had 21 points and 11 assists but the Celtics needed a foul shot by center Kendrick Perkins with five seconds left to take a 104-100 lead and put the game on ice.
With All Star Paul Pierce in foul trouble, Rondo and forward Kevin Garnett, who had 17 points on eight of 14 shooting, were the difference, said Celtics coach Doc Rivers.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
