"The hit was softer than I expected,’’ Rondo said. "I knew I was going to get hit, going back to last year. It wasn’t as hard as it seemed. I think he tried to go for my face but he hit me in my nose. But I’ve been hit harder."

Is it so smart for a little guy like Rondo to rate a big guy like Miller's intentional hit as 'soft'?
I can see the next score-settling big guy making sure Rondo can’t paint him with the ‘soft hitter’ rap.
I thought it was a great response
Hopefully Perkins destroys him next time so he can’t take anymore ‘soft’ shots at him.

I hear what you're saying on this, clover,
but I love it anyway.

Growing up in the Weinman household, you learn two rules very quickly if you aspire to reach double-digits in the years-of-age category: Hate thy Knick, hate thy Yankee.

I love it
it is smart
this is like a QB jumping up after he’s been sacked, shows people he won’t be intimidated if someone knocks him in the jaw
Rondo won’t back down from anyone, that’s the message and it is a good one

the other analogy is the posession reciever who gets blasted – then pops up as if nothing happened. Guys who regularly did this include Raymond Berry, Steve Largent … you know, Hall of Famers. Welker is a current example who could be headed for that if he plays at this pace for another half dozen years.
I know that in the NBA that you have to ‘stay down’ and act a little in order to try for the Flagrant or Flagrant II call, so I don’t mind that Rondo stayed down as if it hurt worse than it did. But it is important that once you get up – that you don’t back down.
Miller is really turning into a goon. Two games in a row we’ve played teams with designated goons. Is the NBA turning into hockey?
No layups rule
KG and Perk would be the 1st to try to enforce a no layup rule. You hope they just wrap guys up, and not clothesline them.
I’m sure MIller heard about the Rondo foul in the off season and was waiting for his chance. It was a hack of a foul, but you can’t blame MIller for protecting the basket. That’s his job.
The thing I love is
Rondo is clearly playing with a level head on his shoulders now. He didn’t retaliate to Miller at all, except for with his solid play. He never tried to get into a scoring battle with D. Rose. He’s just playing great, winning basketball for this team right now.
Rajon is 15-21 at the line recently and over 51% for the year now
Thought id mention it since there was a lot of complaining about it when it was going the other way. It’ll be fun when he gets back above his career average.
December is pretty encouraging so far:
6 games (5 road games)
35.8 mpg, .500fg, .684 ft, 2.7 stl, 2.7 to, 4.7 reb, 10.8 asst, 13.8 pts
will scal please stand up
let this goon know he gotta pay for what he did

It's just a Kurt Rambis type hit
While I hate to see Rondo get hit, I still do not believe in all this Flagrant 1, Flagrant 2, Hard foul stuf!!!! It should either be a Technical foul, a regular foul or nothing…..and this was just a foul.
Now if you throw punches then a technical or ejection…..but if you come in the lane you’re are going to get hit – period
The only problem is we can’t retaliate because th next infraction between these teams like this will be punished severely “to send a message”
Brad Miller will get his however at some point…..abd who cares really ….they suck
Is it Soup Yet?
