Tony Allen
Tony Allen has been playing very solid basketball since Marquis has gone down. This is the dilema with this guy. At times he shows such explosion and aggressiveness..... Then he gets hurt! This is the last year of his current contract. What she we do with him???? Do we trade him this year then watch him have a stellar career with another team or do we keep him in the system? This is a true dilema!!
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

I don’t know, the real trouble with the guy was the turnovers, other than that he adds a nice bit of serious athleticism out there. I think the time with this incarnation of the C’s might have taught him something. protecting the ball is the absolute, number one priority. In the past he might have felt he had to try some things in order to give us a chance to score, but with this team those gambles (that is, him dribbling more than 3 times) are un-needed, and I would say the same this of the other allen, btw. Be athletic, gaurd, run, hit the O-boards, create havoc and steals, get on the break, sneak in from the weak side, help run the 2nd unit, just don’t do too much and turn the ball over, a ‘Sheed three is better than that and nearly always available. just don’t turn it over.
Tony had his chance....
the last few years and especially last year, when Posey left and the C’s gave him the back up small forward job to prove he belonged on the club and failed to win a job.
To his credit he has had a good attitude, works hard and is good defender against smaller offensive players.
But other than that his talent is limited and is not very help full as a player to the C’s.
bigger defenders with more bulk and length give him problems.
His offensive game is limited since he is a indecisive driver to the hoop and non finisher since he loses the ball alot on drives.
He also has no outside jump shot.
His biggest flaw though is the inconsistency in his game from game to game.
What the C’s should do with TA is showcase him now while he plays for the injured Daniels then trade him and his valuable expiring $3.4 million contract for a bigger, stronger, longer wing defender which the team is in need of.
Pierce and Daniels have problems gurading athletic, strong, long offensive players and we need some one who can come in a defend those such players for us, especially heading into the playoffs when we have to possibly face Orlando’s Rashard Lewis and Cleveland’s Lebron James.
If Danny can upgrade the team and find some one he can trade TA for to fill in this team weak spot I think it would be a home run maneuver and help us get closer to getting banner #18!.
dont trade tony
are we forgetting what this guy is capable of?? some one refresh my memory when pierce was down he was our only scorer, he got to the rim at will.. and his jumper is not bad solid at mid range give him a wide open 3 and he can nail it so far on his career hes shot .302% from the 3.. hes probly our best perimeter defender ..its his injuries that have held him back its unfortunate hes just one of those players with bad luck.. i think tony allen can help this team to tell u the truth i rather get rid of eddie house then tony but eddie aint worth anything.. really starting to dislike eddies game. example we are up 25 points 5 min left in the game and he shoots a contested 3 while giddens is wide open ..selfishness
memorey refresh
Tony Allen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5jbynw89D0 he can hit the 3 ball … he can do it all just needs to be more consistant
