Nodding My Head Like "Yeah!"

Yes, I'm using a Miley Cyrus song to make a point about the C's.  I'm just as surprised as you are.

The C's hopped on the plane to head out West with smile and a Christmas win,
Welcome to the land of losing teams, woah, are we gonna fit in?
Learned that our Captain was gonna miss time with a knee,
Looked down the bench and all I could see was Tony.

This is all so crazy, everybody seems so lazy,
My tummy's turnin' and I think I'm gonna be sick,
Too much losing and I'm nervous,
That's when I looked up at calendar...

And it said its only December
And it said its only December
And it said its only December

So I put my hands up, they've got plenty of time,
The butterflies fly away,
Noddin' my head like "Yeah!"
Bloggin' away like "Yeah!"

Got my hands up, they're still the Celtics,
Everything is gonna be ok,
Yeah! Its a party in the NBA
Yeah! Its a party in the NBA

Star-divide

The C's pull into Phoenix and the team is all black and blue,
KG is gonna miss some time and Rondo's hurtin' too,
Who's that kid called up from Maine?
Will Doc ever let 'em in?

So hard when the end is so hard to see,
Its definitely not a Garden party,
Cause all I see is T.O.'s,
I guess they never go the memo.

My tummy's turnin' and I think I'm gonna be sick,
Too much losing and I'm nervous,
That's when I looked at the roster...

And KG is gonna be back
And Paul Pierce is gonna be back
And Marquis is gonna be back

So I put my hands up, they're gonna heal up,
The butterflies fly away,
Noddin' my head like "Yeah!"
Bloggin' away like "Yeah!"

Got my hands up, they're still the Celtics,
Everything is gonna be ok,
Yeah! Its a party in the NBA
Yeah! Its a party in the NBA

wow....that's something.

Hopefully the losing streak ends at home, I’d hate to see you start using Lady GaGa songs – Bad Romance perhaps?

Way to think outside of the box Jeff, and your point is right on.

Now thank you for getting that stuck in my head.

When Perk was asked what he thought of Howard winning the gold medal this summer, he responded: "What’s his impression of me after I won a ring?"

no GaGa

my wife just got that CD and I can’t stand it

I wish I could blame this on my daughter, but she’s only 13 months, so…

Well, . . .

How many teams would do well with four of their top 10 guys not playing?

by amenhotep04 on Dec 31, 2009 7:53 AM EST reply actions

trail blazers...

they won 4 in a row against miami dalas san antonio and denver just last week… with 5 out of their first 10 injured!!

Someone needs to explain the success of the Trailblazers

and other teams like Houston when their stars go down. Yes, the Blazers still have Brandon Roy, but that is about it, yet they keep winning. Is it the coaching, is it good young players? What is it? How do these teams continue to win? Is it toughness?

DUMP DON RIVERS !!!!!!!

Where is the outrage at the horrible rotations. Yes we have injuries but even with the injuries we still could win.

Terrific job, Jeff.

I second the call for no GaGa.

Paul pierce took teams worse than this to the playoffs ,I really was hoping ray was gonna step up and take the reigns but that isn’t his game anymore.I do get frustrated with doc even our championship year ,but I can’t hold him not playin the young guys because he played telfair, jefferson, gomes but didn’t play green ,obryant, pruitt and if you do the math on that he was 100 percent correct because the first three are contributing members of an nba squad the latter 3 I don’t believe are in the nba.Maybe giddens walker and hudson just are not nba built ?maybe? I think I see something in all three but that’s hard for me very rarely even seeing them on a court. So the silver lining would be to me anyway the fact that both allens, scal, giddens, walker and hudson are all expiring contracts which right now with trades to come are GOLD they are so valuable to teams trying to shed money and teams that are rebuilding .So with that said we know who tony and scal are I wouldn’t cry if they left nor would I cry losing giddens walker nor hudson not knowing who they are .I want to hang 18 up and if we can make a couple moves and aquire someone like tayshawn prince I will cry tears of joy…

this is a great example

of what makes CB so… unique! :P

Seems like a good time to say “thanks Jeff”, and to wish a happy (and healthy) New Year to all!

At first I was afraid

I was petrified….

but than I sang the song in my head and it all made sense. It is bizarro world, and I approve.

Reporter: About a year ago I asked about the Celtics-Lakers thing and you said you'd really only seen it on TV. Now you've been through it, can you talk about playing the Boston Celtics for the NBA championship?

Sometimes

Teams line up and game plan against you. And then they go out and execute those game plans.

The Celtics are hurting right now. The blessing is that Tony Allen and even Brian Scalabrine might play well enough to draw trade interest.

Hello, Hello! I don't know why you say good-bye, I say Hello!
