Not time to panic

I hear  many fans these days panicking over the Celtic's recent loses. This is not the time to lose our heads and jump ship. The team we have is solid, and will continue to improve over the course of the season. Injuries have slowed Paul Pierce but if they handle him correctly he will soon regain full strength. K.G. has been looking stronger the past few games and shows signs of returning to the dominance we are used to with him. Big Baby will be reinstated for the second half giving us a very deep bench. The NBA season is a marathon not a sprint. Doc is doing an excellent job once again developing the team. What is alarming has been the lack of defensive intensity in big games, however that seems to have been the trend with this Celtic team over the past few seasons. There is still time to build that intensity over the second half of the season. I really believe that this team has the potential to be as good or better than the team that won our 17th banner in 2008.

Patience is the commodity that is needed rather than desperation. We don't need to make any foolish trades. Ray has earned the right as a Celtic to pursue this Championship banner this year. If he goes the route of free agency we will open up a lot of cap room that will allow us to sign a quality impact player rather than trading now for a diminishing star struggling to overcome health issues. Doc River's is a quality coach and is doing a great job with the team. we need to keep him around for many seasons So sit tight and enjoy the rest of the season; it could be one to remember.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
