Oden Out Again
Greg Oden is hurt again. Sam Bowie anyone? We just saw how good a scorer Durant has become. Can't help but think back to when those two were our only hope. My how times have changed.

Seems like a nice guy, but...
Portland should have known better. Guys like Oden and Ming are pituitary cases, big because of a hormonal disorder (gigantism). You can tell by the facial structure. Their bodies are therefore not as reliable as those of guys like Shaq, Howard or Perk (for example), who are physically normal, just bigger than most. Never pick a pituitary case.
im sorry but this is not true. you cant really tell people are pituitary or not based on their facial look.
Yao’s fragility is basically caused by overweight. he put on too much weight on his relatively small built frame.

It's bad form to make accusations about a players health.
It’s true that facies are a symptom of gigantism, but it’s generally frontal bossing, prognathism (projection of the jaw), which Oden does not have. Plus Portland had to okay him, and gigantism if suspected is diagnosable: Elevated serum insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), and a positive growth hormone suppression test, as well as childhood tumors resulting in field of vision loss, and headaches, mild to moderate obesity, cardiovascular disease, osteoarthritis, AND enlarged hands and feet. Oden has size 18 feet, while Shaq has size 23.
Frankly, Oden just has a broken patella due to physical trauma. And in gigantism it’s the long bones that are affected.
What is not cool is using your inadequate knowledge of the subject, and a players serious and unfortunate injury as an opportunity do an impromptu and unprofessional public diagnosis. It shows a lack of compassion and a lack of appreciation for the NBA or its players.
This is a serious disease that effects thousands of Americans, it shouldn’t be used as a tool in your argument.

yeah I remember

Is it Soup Yet?
Trailblazer Tradition at center...
Walton…Bowie…Oden

A trade is one possibility, especially one that uses the expiring contract of Outlaw. Another is to cut Mills and sign a "stretch 4" from among the league’s waiver-wire flotsam, since that spot is the most glaring roster need at the moment.
I would be trying to send them Baby and expirings for Mills and any player in the following order: Fernandez, Outlaw, Bayless, Batum.
Mills would be a great ballhandler for backup duties while he improves his game, reserved for those spots where rondo needs a rest and they have a pressure defender house can’t handle. I think a player like that plus a guy that can play the wing would help our team more than trying to force baby back into a lineup with Perk, KG, Sheldon, and Wallace.
Mentioning Bowie is like pouring salt in their wounds.
How would you feel if you had to read something like, “Kobe contracts HIV. Magic Johnson, anyone?” or “Rondo suffers sudden cardiac death. Reggie Lewis, anyone?”
"I've hacked into your brain. You're throwing a party and no one's showing up."
In case anyone is interested
Sam Bowie just became the first black guy accepted at a very prestigious country club here in Lexington.
So he’s got that going for him, too.

Too bad
Oden’s just not a ‘big’ he does have talent. I feel bad for Portland fans.
Karma...
Portland was too lucky that year with the ping-pong balls…and the karma eventually came back to bite them!
With 32 victories that year, Portland wound up with the #1 pick.
Meanwhile, the next 6 teams all had WORSE records than they did!
i think the karma thing is more on the way they treated (and bad mouthing) darius miles just to dump his salary… i don’t think being lucky (good karma) will give you bad karma :D
That`s True...
But, the “breaks” do tend to even out.
Rudy would be amazing!!
He’s not only a shooter! He can drive to the basket…anyone’s remember his dunk on D.Howard at the Olympics? He can dish and he can play D ( he led the spanish league in steals before coming to the NBA ).
But you can be sure he can’t play the point.
Spanish guy back to the blog!
