Without Quisy, Who Plays More?
Doc has hinted at Tony Allen getting back in the lineup. CelticsHub says that JR Giddens should get more run with Daniels out. Who do you think should get more time?

I’d prefer some Lester/House action…especially Tuesday. Skiles likes to put Jennings/Bell/Ridnour out there at the same time, so we can actually match up with that size.
I’d like to see Tony Allen got good minutes. 20+ per night. Give him a chance to get some rhythm together and see how does.
It’s important that the C’s see what they have in that second wing off the bench … because Marquis isn’t exactly a healthy guy … never know when they’re going to be without Daniels for an extended period. Need to know if TA or someone else is able to step up and fill that vacuum.
does this imply that Tony Allen is a stable solution to an injury prone Daniels?
I agree we need to know about our second bench wing, and I agree it needs to be somebody hungry who will grab rebounds and play tough defense. This makes me think of Giddens, though I prefer to see what Walker can do. Not Tony though – he’s the anti-solution to our problems.

Tony Allen = best available option currently on the roster

I’d rather have a better option … but he’s what the C’s have and will continue to be the best option until Danny goes out and signs/acquires a new rotation worthy wing to play behind Marquis Daniels.

Should or will?
Easy to predict with the question framed to the Coach wannabees, who they would go with, that there are numerous fanboys of the utes who get no run, and plenty of TA haters to skew the results. Framed as who will, I think most are smart enough to know TA is in the plans, even if many hate him here.
In fact, his return combined with Quisy sitting down is no coincidence. The others mentioned have all been around and could already have earned that burn since Marquis has been hurting for awhile.
Hudson needs more minutes
Lester has shown he’s a capable scorer from all over the court and an adequate ball handler/point guard. I’d like to see a 2nd unit with Hudson at the point, House at the 2, Pierce at the 3, Williams at the 4, and Sheed at 5.
Hudson
Hey, burnin’, I would like to see Doc try this lineup. Try it in the second or third quarter. If it doesn’t work he can always change it, and if it does he can ride it a little. I am anxious to see Lester get a little more playing time.

kind of small back court
I like the skills of the suggestion, but height may be a problem
that's okay sometimes
sometimes you want speed on the floor even when Rondo is sitting. Hudson and House would give you a pretty fast offensive back court, so long as Hudson is the primary ball handler. That could create problems for a lot of second strings guards out there.
Tony allen??
This is why in the recent past, I’ve suggested on numerous threads and forums, that i thought we should trade Tony Allen for Dorrell Wright (but everyone was against it) I would feel much more comfortable and better overall with Dorrell Wright on this roster getting more pt with Marquis down instead of Tony……………….And now look whats happened, Dorrell Wright is getting a nice amount of pt in Miami, and is playing very well (in comparison to how he’s played in the past)……………..If you look at Dorrell Wrights stats to see how much better he’s playing, you wont find it, because thats not the kind of improvement he’s made, and thats exactly the type of player the C’s could use on the wings. especially with Marquis down.
Eddie House
Daniel’s absence will negatively affect the team in general, but especially Eddie House.
I’d like to see Eddie stay away from playing pg and start getting into a good 2 guard rhythm. Thus, my choice to replace Daniels, assuming he’s at the point would be Ray, Paul or Rondo. If he’s at the 3 I’d play Ray and Paul more minutes. I’d like to see Hudson get some good minutes at pg, but don’t know if he’s ready. And who can tell what TA can do. The good TA would be my choice at three. The bad TA should stay on the bench.
"I don't come to play, I come to WIN"--Larry Bird
"Criminally Negligent Officiating"--Tommy Heinsohn
You have summed up TA
If he plays with out being a bonehead then he’s a great replacement, recent history is not on his side (Tony, please prove me wrong)
What's with the obsession with Giddens?
Everytime he’s come into the game he’s proven to me that he doesn’t belong in the NBA… then top that off with the fact that he has far and away the worst +/- of any Celtic who has gotten minutes, and he shouldn’t be playing.
We know what we’re getting with Giddens. I’m all for playing Tony since he could potentially prove to be useful with the second unit. Will he? Doubtful, but at least we don’t necessarily know what we’re getting with Tony.
the obsession for me
is improving the team’s lack of rebounding, which we might as well call hunger. I might agree that Giddens does not belong in the NBA, but if he does belong it’s because he is hungry and rebounding is his only skill. He might possibly be a decent defender, though I’m not sure because I’m usually too disappointed at how weak he is offensively to notice
But except for 20 games on the worst Celtics team since 1995, Tony Allen has done nothing to impress. He HAS done a lot in his 5 years to unimpress, exasperate, and otherwise earn himself a spot behind the cream of the crap Giddens, so I don’t consider him an option. How can we not necessarily know what we’re getting from a guy who has been in the league for 5 years and is only consistent at being inconsistent??
I think the 2 unknowns left on the team are Hudson and Walker, and I would like to see either of them play more because I do know they’re hungry, which is what the bench needs above all.

Giddens on offense
Has been told by Doc that he is not a scorer and should get rebounds and pass the ball. Also he has been told to play defense. So he’s doing what coach has asked. If he gets those things down, Doc might let him play a little O. He played as well as everyone’s favorite Bill Walker last year in the D-league.
http://www.nba.com/celtics/news/press010809-giddens-walker-recalled.html
Players can only be sent back and forth three times in a season between the D-League and the NBA. Walker needs to stay in Maine and develop, not be moved back to Boston to satisfy the whims of fans who want to see him play more often.
You want to see him play? If you’re in the Boston area, drive up to Portland for a home game. If you’re not, the D-League streams every game live for free.
No Tony Allen
Sorry ta…actually I’m not. Just retire! Your as fragil as oden and Walton. You can’t shoot with confidence. Your d was solid but u stopped finnishing at the rim. Giddens does everything u do but gets paid less and is more athletic and younger.
Listen up doc
Hey doc play Hudson and house vs small lineups and giddens house and Hudson vs average to big line ups. And if bill walker is ready bring him up and play house giddens walker and scal vs larger lineups.
