PJ Brown Likely Not Coming Back
"I don't talk to him about basketball. I don't think he's going to be coming back," Rivers said. "He works out all the time, but I don't think he has any interest."
Celtics president Danny Ainge added: "Just a class act. A class man." But when asked if thought Brown would play again, Ainge simply said, "No.'

If I had a dime for every PJ Brown is not coming back story I've read this year...
…well, I guess I’d have 20 cents!
well, maybe 30 or 40 cents
it is just timely because they are headed to New Orleans tonight
"Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me." Michael Scott
Why?
I dont understand PJ, you latch on last year and get your frist ring, and wont come back and try and help us repeat when we want and need you? it just doesnt make any sense to me

Some Guys Know When To Leave
How many guys have hung on after they should have retired. PJ retired with a ring. He’s moving on. Let’s give him credit for knowing when to move on. And PJ, please come back.

I love PJ, hes obviously a class act, but we helped him get his first ring, now he should help us repeat…

He went out on top, how could he end his career any better? I doubt he’s playing for the money; it’s not that much, relatively speaking, and I’d wager that PJ’s a smart man who’s done smart things with the $$‘s he’s made over his career. I’d love, love, LOVE for PJ to come back again, but I respect it if he doesn’t. I mean, realistically, there’s what, a one in three chance he gets another title if he comes back? I think we’re 50/50 to get past the Cavs, and maybe a bit better than that against the Spurs or Lakers. He’d have to go back on the road, away from his family… we don’t really know his personal circumstances. Me, I’d hate to be away from my daughter if I didn’t really need to be.
He went out on top, and I know that is great fairy tale ending, but wouldnt it be even better to go out with 2 in a row? now that hes got 1, he wont help us repeat? cmon….still not getting it

Law of diminishing returns… sure, it’s be nice to win #2, but #2 will never be as sweet at #1. And, even if you think we’ve got a 50/50 shot at winning the title again (which I think is high), that’s still a 50% chance of ending your career in disappointment. Only one team gets to walk away from the playoffs with a victory, you know?
Ending it in dissapointment? he’s a grown man with millions of dollars…if he comes back and doesnt win, he can get over it….why jump on our bandwagon, get a ring, and then not help defend it? I actually think thats lame
