Ray Hurt - X-Rays Negative
Celtics All-Star guard Ray Allen didn't return to the game against the Hornets after halftime due to a hyperextended right thumb. X-rays were negative. Gabe Pruitt was in the lineup in his place.

X-rays
don’t reveal ligament or tendon damage. Tony’s X-rays were fine too.
Let’s hope Ray’s OK….
God bless and good night!
it’s a long season and people get banged up. these guys are amazing specemins playing at grrat speed and strength. it’s no wonder they don’t get hurt more. pp again saves their bacon. perk played well and got plenty of rest. posey was not a factor in this game which was surprizing. but leon and eddie were with rondo slipping them the ball. hope ray rests and lets the thumb heal.
XRays not enough
XRays never reveal ligament or tendon damage, so it doesn’t mean much that they were neg. We’ll find out soon.
I thought this was a pretty weird game… lots of airballs, Rondo losing his dribbles, bad play, bad officiating. Just weird. It’s almost like N.O. didn’t wanna win. Like the game was decided in advance or something. Strange game.
No Replacing Ray's All around Game but Eddie will Fire Away
Surviving injuries is part luck and part bench. Injuries are part of NBA season and I’d rather get tested re Ray out now than then. Juggle the minutes, matchups so the coaching decisions aren’t being made on the fly if he goes down in playoffs.
