Trade Deadline - One Week Away
In case you missed it, here's a reminder that the trade deadline is one week away today. The deadline is Feb. 19 at 3:00 PM. That means any GMs still on the phone working out deals at 3:00 PM can complete them that night.
I remain skeptical that the Celtics can do anything before the deadline, but don't let that stop you from using the Trade Checker to propose trade ideas (please label them "Idea" so we don't confuse them with real rumors) in the Trade Forums or even on this post's comments.
For your reading pleasure, here are a few articles on the deadline.

mo pete
i’ve been talking up a trade for mo peterson. house and t. allen for mo.
would hate to loose eddie’s 3 pt shooting but i feel like we need length and vet leadership from our first wing off the bench. pete delivers.
toyed with the idea of subbing scal for either tony or eddie in the deal, but i think NO would want the expiring deals. plus i think scal has proved himself this season. his versatility and intelligence outweigh both eddie’s 3 bombs and tony’s athleticism. he and mo can spread the floor and provide consistency off the bench.
No way I do that deal!
Mo Pete isn’t much better than TA, and to throw in House as well?! I wouldn’t do House straight across for Mo Pete. I’d do TA straight across, but I’m betting that doesn’t fly in the trade machine…
Why on Earth would you want Mo Peterson?
He’s one of those guys that got hyped up early in his career for reasons I’ll never understand. A 6’7" guy who never rebounds, has a pretty dismal shooting percentage, and has never contributed to a winning team.
He got decent numbers a couple of times when he was playing on horrible Raptors teams, but even that was years ago. Now he’s now stuck down the bench on a team that’s not as good as the Celtics.
What exactly is the appeal?

Trades
I don’t think there will be any trades. The only thing that could happen is that we pick up someone who gets bought out. We can easily drop POB or Cassell (and make him a real coach). But Doc would probably be opposed to Cassell as a coach because Doc won’t be able to get a word in. I really think the team we have can win especially because of the easier second half schedule which will allow more practice time which will help the younger players. Davis and Powe will need to be at their best and I think Scals can be a big factor (not joking).
