Any chance that the Kings waive Drew Gooden?
This seems possible because the Kings already have Hawes and Thompson who need some role. They also get Simmons and have Shelden Williams who they may or may not have any hope for. It just seems like it would be a good pick up if they cut him since he could board and knock down PJ Brown's jumpshot. He might also get some type of pay bump next year if he performed well in the playoffs. Plus he and PP have a KU connection even though they weren't there at the same time. Just a thought since there deosn't appear to be a trade option and it looks like PJ won't come back. Plus he could keep a weird number.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Their interest is in his contract, which is expiring.
So doesn’t waiving him defeat the point? (I don’t know for sure — I’m no cap-ologist — but that’s how I understand it.)
They'd likely want to pay a lesser sum of what's owed to him
So he’d have to agree to a lower buyout. Drew is so terrible on defense I don’t know how well he’d do in Boston, but I guess at this point they’re just looking for someone to play 5-10 minutes a game.
Vinny Del Negro interviewed for the job today. I mean come on! Nobody else thinks this is nuts?
