"The Stephon Marbury Effect"
Ok, I can be more optimistic.
Marbury may not work out. But the signing will still prove to be another masterstroke by Ainge, who has always kept one eye on the future of the franchise. To benefit from the post-Marbury bump you must first have Marbury on the team.
Minnesota Timberwolves 1998-1999 25-25 (Team's last Season with Stephon.)
Minnesota Timberwolves 1999-2000 50-32
New Jersey Nets 2000-2001 26-56 (Team's last season with Stephon.)
New Jersey Nets 2001-2002 52-30
Phoenix Suns 2003-2004 29-53 (Team's last season with Stephon.)
Phoenix Suns 2004-2005 62-20
New York Knicks 2007-2008 23-59 (Team's last season with Stephon.)
New York Knicks 2008-2009 24-32…
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Cut from an earlier comment I know...
But I’m hoping it catches on.

Good thing
Its highly unlikely he comes back next year
These stats are irrelevant, should we get into how the big 3 were losers for 10 years?

Well admittedly it's all a bit tongue in cheek.
But you don’t think it’s at all disconcerting that every team Marbury has played for has seen an immediate and significant upswing after his departure?
Also we’ll have to disagree that the Big Three are 10 year “losers” (???) in same category as Marbury. All three have more play-off appearances (Garnett lead Minnesota to eight straight), all have lead earlier teams to the Conference Finals (Marbury has never been out of the first round) and all have dramatically better career records and Win Share #s.

Manuel Aristides Ramirez is the greatest hitter I've ever seen.

Did anybody consider
Could there possibly be ANY other explanation for the “Marbury Effect”?
I mean, when has any ONE player had that much impact on wins/losses? Please!
Ever consider what those teams received in exc hathange for Mar — could that have ANYTHING to do with it?
Juste…wondering,
