Scalabrine Needs More Tests

Celtics forward Brian Scalabrine will have neurological testing for the second day in a row tomorrow and will miss Friday's game against Indiana, according to team spokesperson Jeff Twiss. Scalabrine recently missed nine games after suffering two concussions and caused concern again after he injured his neck after being fouled by Denver's Johan Petro on Tuesday night. While the Celtics don't believe Scalabrine suffered a third concussion, they have said he has concussion-like symptoms that concern them.

For Scal’s sake, I hope they shut him down for the rest of season. Anyone who saw him getting off the floor after that foul knows he’s not quite healthy yet. That’s 3 serious hits in the span of less than 2 weeks.
