"We were awful," coach Doc Rivers said. "We absolutely did not deserve to win that game. I thought we played slow all night. We pouted all night. We just thought we could show up and win a game, and we didn’t."
"We didn’t make the extra pass all night," Rivers said. "We walked the ball up the floor all night. There were so many things we did poor. The fact that we acutally had a chance to win is amazing."

Extra Pass?
What game was he watching? Too many passes, and bad spacing. Plus, I hope Doc pointed the finger at him and his staff. They were equally abysmal.
Yeah, if you lose to a short-handed Clippers team (no Kaman, no Thornton, and Gordon injured), you know you played terribly. The team should be embarrassed.
All the negativity in this town sucks. It sucks, and it stinks, and it sucks. - Rick Pitino
Roy – who needs those guys when the Clips have Mardy Collins and Fred Jones. They are unstoppable!
When Perk was asked what he thought of Howard winning the gold medal this summer, he responded: "What’s his impression of me after I won a ring?"
Well said doc..celts played like garbage from start to finish and simply did not care, never even seemed to want to pull away…it was the first time in a long time that it looked like every last player, Maybe Besides Mikki (because it was his first game in green) really didnt give a crap about winning, and really really did not want to even be playing, they just didnt have any interest at all in playing the clippers, none.

These Things Happen
Good teams play bad games and the coaches and players usually know beforehand that that’s the way it will be on such a nite. Everyone was mentally exhausted. But, to look on the bright side, these guys knew they didn’t have it and they never quit. Beware of the Indiana game. Also, don’t know if I was seeing things or not, but I thought I saw Ray on the bench working on his thumb. Hope this is not a problem. What’s this thing with brains and thumbs on this team. Ah yes, the team was all thumbs last nite.
