First day of Euroleague Top 16 and Semih Erden had a very good night, probably the best of his career at this level: 8 points (50%FG), 11 rbs, 2 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk. 0 turnovers and 20 index ranking points in 26 minutes versus the best team in Europe. Mind you that his team, in spite of playing at home, suffered a blow out, was already 18 pts behind by the middle of the 2nd quarter and CSKA's suffocating defence didn't allow them to score more than 48 points, but it was an encouraging night for the 7ft Turkish center, who, very surprisingly, has been some sings of promise recently.
