Popp sits stars against Denver
Was just wondering what everyone thought about this. Ginobli has an injury, TD might be kinda old so maybe you'd rest him after the first night of a back to back went into overtime, but I'm not sure what's going on with Parker.
On the one hand, it's at that time of the season where every team is plagued with something or another, be it injuries, or the flu like the Cs. Giving your main players the night off may be better in the long run. On the other hand, it's against conference rivals the Nuggets, who are a very strong team with Billups and Melo back, and you would think the Spurs would relish the chance to catch up to the Lakers a bit now that Bynum is out. Granted, the Nuggets are 2 games back, so tonight won't actually change the standings, but it doesn't exactly help the Spurs either.
So, good idea? Bad idea? Should be tried with the Celtics sometime?
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

I could see doing it against a lesser opponent, if for no other reason than to give some of your secondary players a bit more experience playing in a different setting. Different guys respond differently to the various roles they have to play; there may be some value in some of the role players having a bit of experience playing as a starter, or against other teams’ front-line players instead of backups.
With that said – one game can easily make the difference between being at home or on the road during the playoffs. As was noted elsewhere, the Spurs have historically been about a .500 ballclub on the road in the playoffs, but much better than that at home.
Sue Pop!
He’s tortuously interfering with the Trail Blazers chances of achieving a better playoffs seed and a divisional title! Oh, and perspective economic opportunities as well. I smell litigation without limitation!
Bad Sportmanship
If you want to sit players cut their minutes down over the course of the season not for a whole game.
