Players Vote: Perkins Is Too High On Himself
"The latest edition has players naming the player who most thinks he is a lot better than he really is. And we have a tie: Boston blowhard Kendrick Perkins and Wizards (um) blowhard DeShawn Stevenson. The leaguewide laughter at Perk's magical reformation as a star (as soon as two Hall-of-Famers showed up) has been expressed around the league before; DeShawn's laughable (and laugh-creating) feud with LeBron surely had an impact on the results as well." - Fanhouse

Perk
I say this is a good thing….if the team has Perk believing he is “better than he is,” then they also have him playing better than he should. Confidence is a magical thing. I personally feel that Perk is good, has been getting better and will continue to improve in the future…he is still a young center. At any rate, Kendric Perkins is a World Champion so if they feel he is overrated they must not think too highly of their own teams.

Perk
This is a good thing. If Perk’s hard work (and his team’s good opinion of him) have made him think too highly of himself, that high opinion of himself has also allowed him to play at a higher level than he should. Confidence is a magical thing. I feel Kendrick is a good young center who has worked hard on his conditioning and game and continues to improve. If players feel that Kendrick is overrated (he IS a World Champion, after all) then they must not think too highly of their own centers.
Sorry my other post disappeared…it was a much better one than this one, ha ha ha ha…..

Perk was a key contributor on a championship team
Which is more than the vast majority of other players can say.
