What IS actual height of Powe and BBaby?
I've heard forever that BB and Leon are undersized, too short, etc., etc., but I have never seen a listing of their actual heights. I know BB is listed at 6'9 (and is prolly around 6'5"?) and Leon is listed at 6'8" (and is prolly around 6'6"?).
Does an inch really matter? Nah. Two inchs? Nah. Three inchs? Maybe...depends of arm length...size and thrust of arse...and other things. 4 Inchs? yeh getting tough now.
Oh, BTW, KG must be the tallest 6'11" in the league...or, as I saw listed somewhere a while back a comment that he was really 7'1". I also always thought Lew Alcindor was taller then his listed 7'2".
Comments? Inform me please - grin
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Shoes or no?
Forgot to add ‘with or without shoes". I think Mchale onetime said he was 6’9 barefoot and 6’10" in sneaks.
I think BBD is actually an inch taller then Leon
And neither of them are over 6’8

I’m pretty sure KG is technically 6’ 13".
Powe and BBD are both undersized even for the PF spot, but Powe seems to have a much bigger wingspan. They both seem to be around 6’6" – 6’7"; I’m pretty sure Pierce is a legit 6’6", and they both might be an inch or so taller than him.
The only way that Big Baby’s 6’9" is if he liked dressing up in stilleto heels (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
BBD needs to stay bulky, if for no other reason that he’s never going to be taller than the guy he’s matched up against, he’s never going to have a longer reach, and he’s never going to outjump them; he needs to be able to use his body to get position.
Agreed--
—it’s a silly, made up PR thing to measure them in their shoes, making them both individually and collectively seem taller than they are. (I think the sneaker companies must be coming out with special-edition draft-camp shoes, so their ‘with’ measurements are all a little inflated.)
It seems roughly as if you can deduct two inches from all but KG’s listed measurements on the Celtics’ web site to get a pretty good idea of their actual heights.
(And don’t tell me it’s because they play with shoes on—that’s like starlets subtracting the weight of all they’ve had to eat and drink in the previous 24 hours to come up with their ‘actual’ weight.)
According to the best NBA players measurament database
Davis is 6’ 7.75" without shoes, 6’9’’ with shoes. Height is overrated though, they don’t rebound with the top of their head. I think Powe is an inch or so shorter but with a much bigger wingspan.
You can see just by watching them play
I’m a season ticket holder and spend 80% of the game figuring out how ludicrous Perk’s 6’11" introduction is. He is a legitimate 6’9 while Big Baby is an inch shorter. Leon is about 6’7", but with good posture can get up to 7.5". As for KG, he has said in past interviews he is 6’13", the world’s tallest man under 7 feet since Earl Boykins in 2005. Garnett is part of a plethora of NBA players who do not want to be listed as 7 footers because of the label of giant that comes with it.

That's true
Perkins is legitimately 6’9, maybe 6’9 1/4, but no way near 6’11".
Big Baby looks the 6’7.5" he is.

Leon Powe isn't 6'8 nor 6'7
I’ve seen him stand next to Pierce in person, he’s shorter by a half inch or inch.
Even Jon Barry once said he thought Powe was only like 6’5" or 6’5.5".
Wouldn’t a guy who stands at 6’5" (Barry) know what he’s talking about?

I’m sorry, that’s not 6’7". That’s 6’5" ish.

Davis is 6'09" with shoes and 6'07.75" without them
According to DraftExpress’ official 2007 pre-draft measurements.
Powe and Perkins were not in DX’s 2006 or 2003 guides, respectively.
